It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I just wanted to let GOG know that they have some of the best website developers in the world working for them. Every time there's an update on the website I am always amazed by how good it looks. Thanks for making the experience so enjoyable!

* Edit: This is not intended to be a sarcastic post, but rather a word of encouragement for the website designers.

I think you mean to say "designers" not "developers."

And I think quite a few people will disagree with you here, although I personally like the new design save for a few nits.

I hate the new design. it's too much "in your face" for my liking.

Haha, I'm pretty sure he is being sarcastic.

Actually, I wasn't being sarcastic, but I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinion. =)

I will say that I'm not particularly a fan of the Galaxy design, but the website (in my opinion) looks great!

"[...]they have some of the best website developers in the world working for them."

Even if the forum wasn't broken for us and the website for some of us (and this is not the first time), this would be a hell of an overstatement and any sane/non-naive person, but especially web-dwellers, would sense sarcasm in that sentence.

I would like to respond to that, however the wonderful website developers appear to think that up location=language, so the whole site is in German for me, prices in francs, get directed to the German forum, and the forum is still as broken as ever on mobile. Those guys must be better than M$ developers! Still, we got some pretty pictures all over the front page now, and I have no idea where news has gone.

Have to disagree with you there.
They haven't even bothered to make it work in IE11. The windowed pictures are cut in half, and the bottom of the page is cut off.
And there are no screenshots for any reviews now.
And due to the new layout the pages are building slower than ever. If i try to edit my profile text i have "good" old POTS analog modem feelings - the characters entered are showing up after 3-5 seconds for one letter - just like i have an Acoustic coupler.

Dear GOG, please don't be that "old". It's nice to adjust a personal background in the user profile for anyone who likes it. But you forgot a KISS (keep it small & simple) layout with a low memory browser default background color.

To be fair, if you use IE then you really don't want anything to work anyways ;o)

Supporting IE is outright immoral. People who still use it are like the Typhoid Mary of the web. Their unsecured computers are hives of spam and malware, belonging to every botnet imaginable, and they don't know or don't care. It's a duty of any sane developer to turn IE users away so that maybe, once they find themselves not being able to see a single web site, they'd upgrade to something less broken and more secure.

What's immoral is you trying to push your personal dislike of IE onto other people.

My "personal dislike" of IE is the same as my "personal dislike" of people with cholera defecating into my drinking water. If you want to be sick, that's your problem, but you want to be sick and actively interact with other people making them sick too. That's not cool at all, so avoiding you and making it harder for you to show up at public places is perfectly sensible. Every time all of us get spam, it's a person like you, with an infested computer sending it out.

Someone comes in to give GOG a pat on the back and it becomes a pissing contest about web browsers. :P

Go figure.
Sorry if this is possible and I'm just being a noob but I can't find a way to achieve this:

Is there any way in this new version to not have a mouse hover = start playing a video?

Is there any way to hide DLC while browsing the store? I tend to browse the store by date added to see what's been added since my last visit and the sheer number of DLC turns it a lot harder to navigate.

In my opinion, the site is becoming worse, with functionality and speed traded for glitz and "prettiness". It's harder to navigate and it's easier to miss a new release in all the noise when you don't go frequently to the site (like in my case).
