No survey here either, and I have over 970 games in my library & bought loads of gift keys over the years for giveaways etc too... however I've spent very little here over the past couple of years or so as a result of GOG's approach to Galaxy and increasing tolerance for DRM (I've also not used Galaxy either).

Ditto. got 947 games myself (i'm sure some of those are expanded packs of say Police Quest 1-4 and stuff).

Anyways, got a PM for the link and took said survey. Some questionable... questions... The 'select exactly 3' ones are annoying when i wouldn't choose any or choose 7....

I've been here long enough - and frequently enough given that I've visited GOG almost daily for most of my time here - to see how things have gone down here in the past. And I can see that this is following the very same pattern that led up to the abandonment of each of the previous "core values" that GOG abandoned. It does not bode well for the continuation of GOG's DRM-free "core value".

In my opinion, if modern GOG continues to abandon what was making it GOG, step-by-step, why should I or anyone not just go on Steam? This GOG seems to not understand its Galaxy client is not as important as it thinks. Like, roll back to a ~dozen of years, when I was standing for the past values firm and not buying anything on Steam. The road where GOG does go isn't suiting me, I am skeptical how badly it would end (read: my investments may become nothingness), I started to use Steam more (in the offline mode mainly). Do I like Steam? No. But I dislike where GOG is drifting more.

No, you don't, because you keep returning to what the content is, when you've been told multiple times by multiple people that that is completely, utterly, entirely irrelevant. I honestly don't know why it's so hard for you to grasp that simple fact after it has been repeated in no uncertain terms time and time again. What is it that confuses you?

And by "where GOG is drifting", you mean Steam.

More than likely anyone who has the email notifications on. I doubt they limited to people who spent x amount. Though, I wouldn't know, I bought a significant amount this year. But given that one of the questions asked if most or all your games are free, I doubt it.

I too would like to be asked, but here I am, lapsed as can be, and they don't seem interested in getting me to return.

I had notifications on. I got all the sale emails, but not the survey. True, I didn't spend during the Winter Sale, but I have spent in the past.

I'd say there's a specific subgroup of customers who got the survey.

Or it was random. I spent quite a bit on GoG, current year included, yet no survey arrived in my inbox.

GOG, if you are reading, explain to us to what kinds of users did you send that survey and why? Be transparent!

Yeah. It's like having a nice small airplane and a big car, then the airplane suddenly decides becoming a car (but a very weird one). That's how I see it.

I'm not sure you can be guided by the questions, some of which could just as likely be there to look good or mislead (misdirect) somewhat.

It sure is funny to accuse you of being a great customer and then ask if all your games are free. LOL

My take on the survey, is that much of it is just there for the look of it, and really there is a guiding agenda or agendas, which only some questions are relevant to.

Often with such surveys there is a guiding psychological element. So questions are asked in such a way and order to achieve what they want to know, which might not be all that obvious.

Indeed: how the question is framed is as important as the question itself. I've seen the survey, and from the perspective of someone who never received an official link for it, it was definitely aimed at recent purchasers, and was primarily filled with questions regarding the more "modern" changes GOG is aiming for - Galaxy use, more MP-heavy games typically associated with microtransactions (MMORPGs and the like), which other platforms the customer associates with (as GOG might emulate maybe?), the depth of their pockets and such. Very little of it was even asking about the basic principles GOG was founded on. No questions even dared mentioning offline installers, or single-player DRM.

In other words GOG was more interested in asking questions about how it could further move away from a no-DRM stance and move into the realm of following Steam and Epic as far down the rabbit hole they can go before customers start complaining about gated features.

In my opinion? They already know the direction they're going. They're just seeking opinions into how far and how quick they can push towards it.
