I admit I got a bit hot under the collar, but calling me a troll and shite was uncalled for, especially with the help I offered.

Also smilies are also not against the rules(and many use and enjoy them actually)....and to put it more politely, if you hate people just for using them then you need to relax a bit and put your priorities in order.

I am just offering one more bit of advice: If you want people to take you seriously and kindly here, especially when you ask for help, you should accept the help you are offered in a civil manner & if you must fight then concentrate more on picking your battles against those who should actually be disliked for some serious reason.

(Mods here use them as well, as well as longtimers. they aren't against the rules. Again, I don't think you should call people names because they use smilies. If that upsets you then you are either mad at someone else[possibly not getting your code yet but I could be wrong.[, or need to rethink your thought on what is worthy of getting upset over in general.)
Read the rules again. Smilies are allowed and used by many here. Also using a smiley doesn't make one a troll or make their replies trolling/flaming/less worthy of being taken seriously.

They don't really need one. If you email support, they will answer you faster than you can get service on the phone to a company that puts you on hold for hours. No joke, I emailed them from the West Coast of the US, and got a reply within minutes from Eastern Europe. That is impressive, and they still are better than other companies, even without needing the use of a phone number.

As for advice I told you to PM staff, that they might be out of keys and you may have to wait patiently, etc. I offered several bits of advice here.

It is a fact that similies are allowed here. Email staff if you like or ask them about it. I think you are just misinterpreting the forum guidelines to meet your own ends.
