nightcraw1er.488: They cannot steal anything. If you have a copy on your machine, then you have a copy and they cannot take that away from you. This is DRM free gaming. Yes, its annoying when a company does something online which you don't agree with, however the internet is not under your control, do not rely on it or anyone using it. This is why I am so against anything online only, it only takes the company to remove access and it is gone, no way back. Take control over your things!!

It is not anyone else's responsibility to backup your games for you. If at some point in the future a company decides it does not want to host the downloads for games it has stopped selling, they will stop hosting those downloads.

Remember, on GOG all sales are final after 30 days regardless of you downloading the game in that time or not. If you don't have your backups after 30 days, that's your problem.

yeah, i do my best to keep current double backups of all my games. unfortunately i can't rationalize buying anything else here until the removed game is returned. i mean, what's to stop any other game from my account from vanishing, including new ones. a pity because i was hoping to preorder pillars of eternity 2 and star control origins this week. GOG DONT MAKE ME BUY SWITCH GAMES!

i know, right?

but seriously i've been having a blast with my switch. mario odyssey is excellent, breath of the wild... i didn't think it could match my time playing skyrim but it does, and in many ways surpasses, probably the most majestic game i've ever played. bayonetta 2 is an awesome action game; just beat the big purple dragon thing near the beginning.

dragon quest builders and xenoblade 2 are on the way. will likely get mario kart soon too.
