I would like to see GOG and ScummVM partner together like ScummVM and Cyan have. Not only would there be more good old games to play, but the value proposition of those games would rise also due to ScummVMs unique feature set.

ScummVM supports multiple versions of games ie c64, amiga etc that dosbox simply cannot support. Additionally ScummVM can often provide enhancements to old games and fix long standing bugs due to it implementing an engine rather than emulating a game.

Well, now I don't know if my post disappeared or wonderful forum software decided to hide it for some time... Edit, nope, it's just gone.

Anyway, like I just wrote, there are games using ScummVM on GOG.

Yes but with GOG support there would be more games and games that cannot be supported with dosbox.

You should probably clarify what you mean by "GOG support". As stated GOG already uses ScummVM. If by "support" you mean give ScummVM money then sounds good to me but probably not to GOG.

Back then ScummVM had an affiliate program with GOG. Don't know if it's still the case.

GOG should partner with ReactOS too, to make... GOG GalaxyOS (or GOG Universe?) with Vulcan and DXVK Support,
but it is not possible now, it is very much too expensive, because ReactOS is only 32bit, unlike Wine which is 64bit.
In the perfect world, you could then play in your drm-free games on your drm-free and even open source OS.
Maybe I am a dreamer in the big city, but I can't imagine nothing better ;)

How would a partnership lead to more games?

ScummVM is just a tool to make old games compatible with new hardware/OS, and GOG already uses it where necessary.

They are NOT a publisher, who could bring new games on board.

maybe wait until ReactOS is complete? with the speed it is going, it should come out of alpha in about...ohh.... early 2215?
