ABitAlarmed: GOG is one of the largest companies in the world

clarry: Phahahahah :D
Right behind Hersheys chocolate.
My two-bits report.

Thursday morning: normal download speed.
Thursday mid-morning: one quarter speed.
Thursday evening: one quarter speed.

Friday morning: one quarter speed.
Friday evening: one quarter speed.

Today: normal.

All with Brave browser and offline installers, no Galaxy. Two other download sources checked both days, normal speed for both.

I try not to worry about things beyond my control, but GOG's recent basic technical performance is . . . lacking.

edit. Tried another download after post. Back to quarter speed. Patience diminishes.

ABitAlarmed: Excuse me for the offtopic, but is the 3rd instance of lupineshadow lashing out in rage with profanities. Can someone report and remove them? Thanks.
I already reported your posts in this thread, and your posts in all the other threads, including the posts where you said you could "finally" download your games despite being a new user and having no other alternate accounts.

If you don't like profanities, don't be a c**t.

If you don't like profanities, don't be a ***.
So much pointless hostility, with using false reporting as a weapon of digital destruction.

I re-took a closer analytical look what could be to blame: You actually misread '"Then I might finally more-or-less trust downloads again, mark new ones as OK" as if "I download." I do not do downloads: I found it good to know what's going on in general as a whole (I dislike to feel clueless), so I marked all the records of downloads' versions from certain days as potentially unsafe in my old-old sheet made for others to be aware of the issue, now I unmarked: That's all there is, plain and simple. Do you understand? So please, for real, do get some catnip roots' tea, and chill out for a moment.

We cannot change the past, but the present and the future is in our hands. Let's make it the better place, not the worst one.

GOG revenue was ~45 million USD last year, representing a good chunk of it's parent CDProjects almost quarter billion revenue. so.. yeah. It's a big company.
But was not profitable, which is interesting.

"The European Union generally defines a small business as one that has fewer than fifty employees and either turnover or balance sheet less than €10 m. but the European Commission is undertaking a review of this definition. By comparison, a medium-sized business has fewer than 250 employees and either turnover less than €50 m. or balance sheet less than €43 m."

Similar definitions apply in the US. GOG is medium size business at best. By revenue, about the size of two large grocery stores or supermarkets. Which is really small for an international business that sells across the globe.
