Well, 3pm PST has passed with...

... nothing.
Next week maybe?
Would indeed be a first but there are a couple showcases coming up today and tomorrow with announcements and such, and GoG maybe wants to use the opportunity/momentum and kick off the big sale at the same time?
For example, there are rumors that the Phantom Liberty expansion to Cyberpunk 2077 may be officially announced as coming soon or even at a concrete release date.

I still think Monday 12th is the day. It's what makes more sense.
Another issue that might be factoring in...

... I've been in contact with Support about titles being discounted to $1.00 USD. In the conversation they communicated that it's a glitch.

While I believe it was fixed for the titles in question, last night I looked at the Mix-&-Match Sale only to find it happening there as well!

It might be that GOG is having pricing issues with their site and they can't run the sale until those issues are fixed.

Think of a 2000 - 3000+ games sale with a large number of them erroneously priced. Could be a colossal headache for GOG.

I'm starting to think this may be the reason for so few games on sale this week, no Weekend Sale, and "false" reporting on the start of the Summer Sale.

Dunno... but wouldn't be surprised.

kai2: [...] no Weekend Sale [...]

It was glitched and didn't show up, but they fixed it.

Good.

Now that that's over with, we can get back to the very serious business of speculating about a completely unannounced sale ;)

A source that knows a source told them that they know of a source that said it might happen within the next month or so but for sure no later than fall.

I'm hoping they don't forget to include the Hasbro DnD games (Icewind Dale II, NWN 2, Temple of Elemental Evil etc.) in the next big sale, somehow they were excluded from the DnD sale we got a few months ago.

Edit: well shucks

I believe GOG has no say in what games get discounted during the sale. They just notify their partners of when the sale is going to take place, and the publishers are the ones who then set the prices.

There's a chance the Summer Sale could launch at the same time thus making it still technically arrive at the end of the week. On the other hand, CDPR may wish to prioritize web-traffic for Phantom Liberty orders, and doing both Phantom Liberty and Summer Sale could put too heavy a load on the site.

BTW, here's the Phantom Liberty price entry from GOG's API, just change the country code to your region to get the price:

I don't expect any special deals during the summer sale . They will just give us the same old prices , the same old bundles .

Could be pretty shrewd if they could pull it off (some scepticism). They could upsell the Phantom Liberty people sale stuff, and vice versa
