aluinie: All this political bull is destroying our industry, our fun and all this has been done by a few extremists who want to turn the masses o each other and for me it is a sad affair. We should be here for the games not fighing each other over politics.
StingingVelvet: I agree with your post but keep in mind the Postal 2 image was political. It had the specific date and phrasing on it that identified it with the GamerGate movement, which has political connotations. Their decision to apologize and remove it was more a business decisions, as you don't want to be tied publicly to a known hate group (
whether that group is known as a hate group fairly or not).
Those "death of gamers" articles that appeared on the date referenced by the gravestone were attacking everyone who identified to some degree with the gamergate meme, in a manner similar to the way the McCarthy hearings attacked people for identifying with socialist memes, so would you advocate business "neutrality" if McCarthyism was to rear it's ugly head again?
