MichaelD.965: That's Fallout 3/New Vegas, down to the letter.
I've never played it... haven't gotten around to doing F2 yet.

Should I demand royalties?

Not if Disney keeps doing evil things to please CHINA. And CHINA keeps getting TRIGGERED over the pooh. Enough to get a taiwanese game banned from GOG AND STEAM.

You may as well go after the entire Elder Scrolls series, that's the template for modern Fallout.

morolf: Anyway, I don't have time for long discussions about this issue (most of you so far are totally missing the point anyway, and I don't feel like educating wilfully ignorant people who choose not to use their mental faculties). I think I've made my views clear enough, those who agree with me can vote on my Wishlist entry to protest against this "game", which should have never slipped through Gog's curation.
You have made your views clear, amd the vast majority here think your advocacy of censorship sucks.

Censorship would be if the game got banned by the state (and actually that would be also ok imo, since the game glorifies political violence).
Gog rejects plenty of games, for all manner of reasons. There clearly isn't a right to get your game published here, so any talk of censorship misses the point.
I'm done with this discussion, but saying the "vast majority" is against my views isn't an argument. The vast majority is frequently wrong.

The "vast majority" also seem to have forced GOG to remove a taiwanese game...

anyways if anyone is still looking for a game where you beat up rioters, CHINA already made one...
www.scmp.com/abacus/games/article/3040864/china-has-its-own-hong-kong-protest-game-lets-you-beat-activists

Remember the game Liberate Hong Kong? That’s the one that lets you play as a Hong Kong protester dodging rubber bullets. Now there’s a game for the other side.

A new anti-protest propaganda game in China called “Everyone Hit the Traitors” lets players smash black-clad, bleary-eyed Hong Kong protesters and prominent pro-democracy activists. And just so you know where the game stands on Chinese sovereignty, the title screen includes in bold letters, "Hong Kong is part of China, and this can't be meddled with by outside powers."

People complaining on Facebook?
I have to say, the replies to GOG's tweet from Dec 16th are hilarious. Here's one:
Hey, this fucking sucks.

I have to say I am quite baffled people are surprised of the happenings in Hong Kong. It was part of China generations ago, and no one had any doubts it won't be part of it again. Good with the good and bad with the bad.

Oh, and also, this isn't political, it's sociological. There is a difference.

No, more like the people against such are against people's stores/businesses (in the game) being burnt down because some (game characters) don't know what to do with themselves & their lives.

Matewis: They should be free to make the game, free to sell it, gog free to choose whether or not they want to have in on their platform, and you free to let gog know that you don't approve of them supporting this company.

Googling Means, the publishing company, reveals to me that is not a company that I want to support, which I'm free to do (or rather not do). I don't have any strong feelings about gog supporting the company. I'd prefer they didn't, but I'd far less want them to be strong-armed one way or the other.
Well said

No as I said further, if that were true they would also be against western democracies bombing hospitals weddings and family homes in the middle east, but they're not. Often those types support private property destruction of stores/businesses etc.

Also, they would be against the government destroying people's property with raids. Again, these types are for that.

It's definitely more to do with being cosy and a sense of impunity and not wanting to lose their coochy position.

To clarify: are you talking about the ones rioting(in the game)? Or the ones complaining here complaining about rioters(in the game)?

(if the former, you might have a point.....if the latter, imo i'd say you're off the mark on at least some[common folk] with such complaints)

Strawman, I've long been opposed to Western military interventions in the Mideast, ever since the 2003 Iraq war. I also don't play any military shooters set in modern wars (tasteless and often propaganda) and wouldn't miss those games on Gog.

I mean the latter. Common folk are conceited and lie about their motives, which is why their declared reason is incorrect.

Depends on the context, not sure what you're referring to here...police violence? Yeah, that can be an issue, but imo it's often used as a pretext for other agendas.
In any case I'm not in favour of games glorifying real-life government violence either.
