I believe it is intentional that things get removed from the GOG shopping cart if you don't go ahead and buy them within a certain time period. I must admit I don't really understand the rationale behind it, but then they might not either. :)

drealmer7: It seems to happen every sale. I put games in my cart and wait to decide which of those games I want to buy / if I will buy them before the end of the sale comes, and then they remove them from my cart after a couple days 1.) discouraging me from actually wanting to buy anything and 2.) making it a pain in the ass to remember + re-add the games I wanted.

it's like they don't want my money???

Themken: It is an annoying bug that I also found a couple of years ago.
Why not wishlist first and pick from the wishlist? That works and your wishlist must be shorter than the whole GOG catalogue. Of course, the shopping cart should not behave like that but now it does.
wishlist has 430 items on it

For that reason I use Wishlist, only drawback is missing sum off all price games that I want buy, but for that reason I can always can add in my cart.

EDIT:
>wishlist has 430 items on it
That is a lot, maybe you need some segregation or something like that; cart is probably cleaned automatic because price can change and some games can be removed from catalog.

Best regards

Just in case anyone still does not know: Items are removed from your shopping trolley/cart after a while. The process seems to be automatic.
Use the Wishlist system instead, that is what it is for after all.

I had that happen this sale immediately after I clicked on the free "Fantasy General" game. I wonder if that had something to do with it.

fwiw, I've had the exact same thing happen on Steam also.

Like you say, often it's hard to remember what I had in there because I spend quite a bit of time going through the games during sales, most not being wishlisters..

Hey there,
This should not happen for the logged in users - could you provide us some details? How many games did you add, did it happen after purchase, when did it happen? We'll look into it. Sorry about that, I know it must be frustrating.
How on Earth do you guys have so many wishlist entries? I have 13. >.> And I only add games I actually want and/or intend to purchase. Do you guys just wishlist everything that comes out that you don't own yet? (Honest curiosity here, not judging or anything.)

I have about 120 in my wishlist. I add anything that I might be interested in, some are DLCs, InDev games or just not released yet. At some point I went through all the games on GOG, that way I just have to check my wishlist when there's a sale.

Yeah, 300+ items is a bit too much.. O_o
Also, after a few Gog promos that list wouldn't remain so big.
Mine usually stays around 60 (mostly new expensive releases).

They really do, the thing is right GOG keeps releasing new games that add to the wishlist.

Oh, hey! I just saw this. I had had 7 items in my cart. I never log out, the only thing I ever do is run ccleaner (after which I'm required to log back in), but I actually did that at one point during the sale and the items were still there. I think it actually happened as someone else noted, after I clicked the Fantasy General freebie (how immediately after I'm not sure, and I didn't correlate the 2 at the time.) Thanks for this!

I would say there are probably only 100 on the list that I'm uncertain about wanting to play, while the rest are games I'm definitely interested in playing and want to own some day. I don't buy games that often simply because it's not in the budget. There were probably 100 games on sale during this sale that I would have bought in an instant if I had the funds with probably another 100 I'd have bought without a 2nd thought if I were "in the money."

My movie library of things I definitely want to watch but have yet to watch is literally over 1000.
