Just registered to pre-order Cyberpunk... I've been a CDPR fan since the first Witcher but didn't realize they were the company behind GOG, normally buy their stuff on Steam but now will buy here. CDPR is right now the only AAA publisher that I will pre-order from, I've never had the feeling they were more interested in turning me into a wallet than in delivering excellent products (something I assume is fact for EA, Activision, etc...) - so the ability to give them a bit more of the purchase price of the game is great.
Hi, welcome.

Everyone is interested in your and every other persons money but not every corp or person is so in your face about it though like EA, Activision, 2K and so on.
Welcome to GOG!
I am interested in your money, thank you very much and welcome to GOG.

+1

Can we share your wallet?
And how is Gaben now going to make sextillion dollars a year, if more steamers will be joining GOG, eh ? :/

You guys are all traitors!!! D:
Heya, welcome!

Don't get discouraged when you don't see lots of AAA games show up here; most publishers love their DRM, and GOG is strictly for non-DRM games!!

Try out some older games, you'd be shocked at the quality of some of them.

Glad there are people like you who are open-minded and at least try GOG out. If everyone were like you, we'd have a pretty great video game space here on PC!

Enjoy your time on the forums too! Don't take anyone too seriously (please)! Lots of clowns around, but they're nicer than they might seem at first.
Hey and welcome to the community, enjoy your stay (and the DRM free goodness).

So you're basically saying that we don't?

I mean, I shouldn't complain...
I just personally don't like how my games are tied to different clients and think that was the result of us consumers being a bit too complacent during the mid-2000s. Now my game collection is divided into, like, four clients accessable only by remembering four accounts, and yadda-yadda-yadda.

Still, it could be far worse. I just wish I could instead have either all my games physically in my house, or just have a folder full of all setup files needed for each game that I own backed up on my hard drives. But alas, that's not how things are :(

Velkommen to the club!

Lemme know how Cyberpunk is when it releases. I doubt i'll have a PC by then to run it.

Not just a vote in support of CDPR, but also against bad practices in the industry. Especially in the days of Stadia and "games as services"; if you care about the idea of owning what you buy, no penny pinching or strings attached, consider sticking around and supporting other devs selling their games here as well.
Welcome to GOG! :)
Welcome! Don't mind the other crazy inmates, you'll get used to them...
Hello and welcome to Gog.
