I'm not entirely sure that you gave a full answer, because yes it is about the time it takes.

Lets say you have 10 files to download (one EXE and nine BIN files). You add (queue) them all to IDM one after the other, then start downloading. If they all download within the limit GOG has set (i.e. 10 minutes) then that is as expected.

However, if you only download a few before that limit occurs, then the very next file and any after will fail, and you need to get the links again. The same if you have a web connection issue after that limit and the current download stops, and won't restart again until you get a fresh link for it, and you need to tell IDM to resume using the new (refreshed) link.

So did you download well beyond the supposed 10 minute limit. In other words did any queued downloads start after that limit?

If so, then IDM must be grabbing the true download link on-the-fly, unlike FDM 5 which grabs it when each download is added, and they eventually time out when inactive.

I guess you could also maybe get around the limit by downloading multiple files at the same time. I'm not a simultaneous file downloader, as I prefer to get what I can while I can and don't like taking up too much bandwidth.
