Vote for them on the wish list then, its the only voice we have on what they go after. GTA series however R* which is so far up its own social club I doubt the rest of the world exists to them.
I can't get my disc copies of Rockstar games to install anymore because of their fucking DRM. What hope would we have here!?

Can you not get a new file gtamp dot com for instance? I haven't had issues with any gta up to and including san Andreas, though I haven't tried my disc gta 1 and 2 for many years.

Yeah, Rockstar are really fond of their twelve layers of DRM, aren't they?
They did distribute GTA 1 and 2 as freeware for several years, though.
Now, I get the feeling they're embarassed about those two and do their best to hide them, since they're only available as part of some GTA collection on Steam now, and not even in all countries. Blizzard and Epic seem to display the same behaviour towards their old titles.

They are nowhere available anymore. They were even removed from Steam because, apparently, Rockstar was getting sick of all the support tickets complaining that the games weren't working.
Okay that was overdoing it on my part. Honestly it's just GTA IV but that really really really pissed me off. Here I am going out of my way to get a legit sealed physical copy and they still have the nerve to throw constant logins and crap after me. Not only did I never get the game working, they got me feeling like a fucking criminal because here I am trying to hack a game THAT I BOUGHT!!!! :P

deep breaths
calm

SA still works as does Vice City but then those two titles came about before Liberty City became this whole virtual online world onto it's own.

Well, that does seem like a solution Rockstar would come up with.

There is a way to them "talk". It's illegal and don't question me!!!
Amazing!
I bet they never even considered releasing those games!
You are a genius!!!!!111
I'd love to give Mafia 1 another go. I remember I never had the patience to get past that one very early mission in the game in which the police pulled you over whenever you speeded or drove too recklessly.
Hm, definitely would love to see GTA games here but until gog signs up with Rockstar that won't happen.

So you were never able to experience the joys of the racing mission?

Just wait until you get to the racing level. So bloody difficult that they patched in a cheat to let you skip it. I finally beat it, then read in PCG UK (or something like that) that the designer thought it was easy - apparently he was a hardcore sim fan with steering wheel and pedals on his work computer.

Great game though. I vaguely recall I claimed a free copy of Mafia II from the Golden Joysticks a few years back. Infected with steam, but I might give it a go at some point if I can remember my steam password.
