And did I say otherwise about staff. Staff have clearly been a problem for a long time.
Where exactly am I defending them? I just state what seems to be the case, and not accepting it is a deliberate scam.
Yes, these days is something like a year or so ... a little bit longer than they have been using a bot, which is new.
Before that, then as experienced by myself and many others, Support were good and quick and helpful. But then again, it maybe depended on what you were seeking help with. I cannot speak for stuff like Refunds, because I have never done it. I have however had a game version replaced with another version, all free of charge, after I complained about an inconsistency.
So personally, I have had nothing but the best experience when dealing with GOG Support ... not that they always agreed with me ... and with Mods for that matter.
However I do fully acknowledge that there has been a lot more complaint threads about support in the last 18 months maybe ... or maybe right up to when the world as a whole really started to feel the effects of COVID. I'm not saying that COVID is an excuse, but it is certainly a factor ... certainly in an employment sense. There are other factors though.
