I've noticed if you are requesting a refund GOG basically just doesn't respond to the ticket. Going on the 3rd week of this ticket. The tactic appears to just let refund request tickets sit unanswered.

In the past I've noticed on a request for refund, it just sits, if the request is changed to a store credit it's usually answered within a few days.

I've only completed one refund in the past (member for many years). A few refund requests were changed to store credit.

GOG really shouldn't trumpet money back if they don't really mean it.

Try adding a new reply to the ticket. Sometimes, tickets seem to get buried (especially during sales) but adding a new reply politely asking about the delay has always gotten a swift response for any tickets I've submitted. If that doesn't work, it wouldn't hurt to PM a blue and ask them.

if you can, then do a credit card charge back. and yes cd pr as well as gog are both basically scams these days. i strongly recommend to use other stores to buy games

How old your purchase is? You can go to "orders and settings" and request a refound during the 30 days period.
Best way to get refunds is by going to your orders page and clicking "Ask for a refund" next to the game in question. You'll have a refund to gog wallet within hours.

Via tickets will take months.

That sounds like intentional putting refunds on hold, which is probably against customer laws or something.
And saying that their support has too many tickets is also against some laws. They have to provide these services within acceptable timeframe.

Thanks for the replies. So that's the action I took. The tricky thing is I requested a refund back to my credit card as opposed to my gog wallet. So, that's inline with what I'm seeing. If it's a refund request to the gog wallet, it's within hours. If a refund request back to credit card, it goes into a black hole.

I don't think it is a black hole, but it will take time, in my short experience, GOG Support helps. Try to contact one of the blue to move your ticket foward, it's simple problem and is a ticket it closes faster.
They do refund, it just takes really long. Be ready to wait a month or more... But, it will happen.

This is the only way Ive done it and never had any issues. Only had to use it a few times but it was quickly refunded. I only ever made a ticket when i needed to fully remove a game from my account after the grace period. I'm about to request 4 titles permanently removed again as completion versions came out and I can save a few 100GB of backup data with them gone.
Yeah, from what I've seen people say over the years, non-wallet refunds will take around a month minimum.

Three days last I had to do that - about twelve moths ago.
Odd considering post brexit banking delays.

Sorry for the off-topic, but is that so you can buy the "complete" game/s at a discount? I've noticed that GOG doesn't offer price reductions for a "complete" game bundle or dlc bundle even if you already own the base game or some dlcs (unlike Steam)

Apologies if i'm misinterpreting
GOG's support system just seems snowed under these days, which is likely why they now use a Bot. And different types of support get longer waiting times, and I guess Refunds are probably not quick or a priority, especially via tickets. Not quick, because they need to make sure you are not abusing that option, and they likely don't want to make it too quick and easy or encourage it to happen too often.
