I still think the relatively high game count at this point is probably an obstacle. I think a dedicated "The GOGfather needs you!" thread might attract more curious newbies. In the dim an distant past someone ran an explicit "newbie" game too... might have been Vitek.

Krypsyn moved away from gog in general. In terms of mafia here, he got a bit tired of always being the N1 NK as town/neutral. It sort of ruined the sense that he was ever really in a game, esp. given that his D1 strategy was to play close to the vest.

As I recall flub's game (where he was dayvigged D1 by Hijack) felt like salt in the wound over something he was already feeling burned by.

Sage comes and goes, but has a lot going on IRL.

cristi was frustrated by me in particular the last game she played, and said she was disappointed/burnt out with mafia after that game. I tried to explain I wasn't really trying to win at all, much less cheating to do it - playing with ________ just made me enraged and things got weird from there. After D1 I was mostly just trying to keep things entertaining, but damage was done.


And I hear JMich left gog to start an IRL cult.

Those are sad reasons. Understandable, but sad.

And yeah, maybe we should drop the # from the mafia title after this game. Somewhere we should perhaps also have a list (Forum Mafia administration?) with links to each game.
