I'm sad the game ended; I was having a lot of fun. I think... without trying to step on anyone's toes, I think a lot of people are kind of lumping "MU players" into a group, and that's not really a thing. MU is an extreme melting pot. There isn't really a standard MU way of playing or anything. Games are shaped by the players who are in them.

I definitely feel for people who were struggling with the post volume; I stand by my thought that it was on a downward trend and really would only have kept going down. A lot of what people were calling fluff and useless in the early going, I didn't find it that way myself; mining those posts for mindset analysis and the interactions for potential unalignments was pretty useful for me.

Specific game thoughts:

Nacho was functionally exactly what he claimed to be, so yeah. So was Zork, so... yeah. I think all the discussion surrounding them was pretty overblown and absolutely distracted from hunting wolves. They were both townsiding; if people had just let them do their thing, it would have been +EV town. But, hindsight is 20/20, so whatever.

@Brasas - I feel like we got off on the wrong foot. I think a lot of your frustration came from wanting to be engaged with in a certain way, to have people approach you on your terms, to have people pay attention to the things you wanted them to. But like... if the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain.

@Stanari - please play with me again, I secretly bask in your flattery and enthusiasm for gifs even though I'd never admit it. If you ever roll w/v against me you're going to be able to pocket me so hard.

The tom soulread wolf was something I had very very early and then that read kind of faded; I decided to roll with it half to fuck with tom, and half to see if anyone would call me on it. I probably would have towncleared the first person to press me on it, because wolves would not have been interested in getting me off that read (since tom would have been mislynch bait in that case).

I'm really, really, really sad that one of the last insights I had into that game before it ended was the "Bookwyrm and dyachei are both independently wolfy, but don't seem like they're knowingly aligned." Since, well... I cant embed images so you'll have to click through...

It's kind of hard to tell since it ended mid D1 but I think town had a pretty good shot of winning that game. Wyrm/dyachi would have gotten knocked off early, for sure. Uber would have been interesting; if he could jump back in and replicate some of that early energy, he might have made it a while. Trent, I think was doing a pretty good job at riding the line, but if that me/Stanari/Tammy/SR townblock had solidified I thiiiink he'd have just gotten PoE'd out at some point? That one's really hard to speculate on, though. Too many unknown factors.

Oh, yeah. The door thing was 100% me trolling yogsloth because he gave me a troll role. I still don't know what my "thief" thing was even supposed to do, but the door thing was coming from a "troll me with a role I don't understand and refuse to tell me more about, I'll troll you back" mindset. Also there was a tiny bit of me that wanted to see, like, tom/Nacho's face after the game when they realized I'd elaborately fakeclaimed as town, since that kind of thing is something I think they'd consider 100% out of my range.

Anyway, fun game, sad to see it go. I'd be amenable to playing with y'all again sometime.

DragonSushi: though I fell for his response and would have gone along with things
FWIW, considering he was telling the truth about town getting a 2nd lynch, the rest of the lie was functionally irrelevant - its use being convincing town to go along with something that worked out pretty well for their interests anyway.
Oh I had items to give out Newcomb. You could have presumably stolen them from me. One shot cop, one shot doc, one shot day vig starting d3

Your dya case had originally pinged me a bit but I'd not gotten around to handling the big posts, but I was starting to get over that as I saw your interactions more

Also fair point Blair. No actual downside to giving Nacho his win con because of that

I rem you from Oakwood, but who were you now? :)

My mood was fine by the way. I get heated up while playing but I was oblivious to actual showstopper moods...

On Brasas, that's really not his town game. The hint I got from yogs (post-game) was that Brasas was intentionally trying to bait reactions before he stumped himself out. Curious to see how Brasas describes what his mindset/strat was there.

On your role, we've had role cops function as thieves, but that wasn't your title (vs. actual scum role cop) so hard to say if your role was just a lynch-bait tease (we do have an inordinate amount of scum/neutral thieves in our games as well for whatever reason) or if your role name was just to confuse a scum role cop, or whatever.

The parity cop was designed in such a way it was really quite weak: GF in play, multiple neutrals, and no N0 action. But town overall was pretty strong.

The way roles fell out and D1 was shaping up, Tammy was probably the most important town investigator anyway.

I had two scrolls as well: 1x ninja and a 1x Strongman, I could give them to someone to use or use them myself. In the scum chat I called this a role madness game early on and was hoping I did not get investigated late as it would have ruined me, although I think town had a good lock on that game.

sending you a chat message with the link for the roles

Absolutely! I'm always sweet and innocent :)

I was unlikely to really get to you for a while I think. Uber vanishing though, once I remembered to get around to him, I think I'd have worried. Dya maybe next after Book. Some likely town detours along the way too lol

Oh, did scum have daychat?

Link, if so?
The game is over?! What happened? Did more people step down? More catching up to do...

there's really not much in it, just mainly some clarification about roles and scrolls.

Especially when you make human pretzels.

That strongman role is still one of my favorites to date :)

Funny how there's catching up to do, even after it's over.

Can't imagine why. ;-P

On a side note, yogsloth must have remembered it. *wink wink*

Think last page pretty much tells the story for the final nail in the coffin =/

Haha, yeah. That was quite unexpected and a shame, too. I know how much effort yog puts in his games and they are awesome, so I'm sure this one would have been a lot of fun, too but at least for myself, after not playing for a couple of months and losing momentum, felt like too much to handle.

Also, I'm not fond of the idea not being a Tracker in a yog game. I think that was what doomed this game from the get go.
