It's no Hot Fuzz, but then, what is.

Still a funny movie.

I know bler isn't available shortly - MUCH AS I DESPERATELY WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HIM HINT HINT HINT

But I'm running out of names

In a hurry

I think bler would fit in nicely, and I also think the issue is getting use to how much MU players post because they don't have the 10 minute rule (and boy does that make a difference)
Well, I'm on the sublist and he hasn't asked ...so...I haven't actually had to make any decisions yet.

I did a casual read though.

I came to the same conclusion. I always thought that was limiting until I saw what happens when the limit is not there. It's not a bug, it's a feature!

My whole life was a lie.

With so much banter going on and only some of it actually important towards the game (at least from what I managed to pick up as important) I missed so much stuff that I only saw later on from other people's quotes. And that is on Day 1 where the game hasn't even started yet. I feel that the game will be a whole lot less enjoyable if one isn't constantly online and up-to-date. I can't tell for others but for myself always having to catch up so much and getting constantly ninja'd doesn't feel like a fun Forum game. If it was a RL game sure, the pace fits it, but online and in text form - too fast for my liking.
Yeah... after a little skim through the thread I'm really glad I didn't sign up.
Too many MU players means a completely different pace and style of game then we have here, and I know there is no way in hell I could do that.

Good luck guys (those who choose to stick around...)

The MU players keep insisting that the pace slows day on later days so I'll stick it out and see how it goes. But not sure I'll be up for another game soon on MU if it does not get better.

It's quite possible it does slow down and get more focused later but I just didn't like what I got back to from a couple of months hiatus. I don't blame the game or the medium. I'm pretty sure the problem is with myself, so as someone else noted - better get out sooner rather than later and not risk ruining the game for someone else.

I'm starting to feel this way

I can't even find the game thread over there for some reason and I had to come back here to get it

I'm just annoyed

I want to wake up and play mafia

not have to figure out how a new forum works

clearly it is not forum software that makes for a good mafia community

doing this now!!!
Big hug to yogsloth and all the players for the way this turned out. I think the final "reach exceeded my grasp" comment is unfortunately spot on; big and ambitious game with (presumably) lots of interesting quirks and roles, combined with a new place to host it, and two very different groups of players - it was just too much when all taken together.

I think people gave it most everything they have, but I can totally understand the overwhelmingness of it all (just observing was an effort in keeping up).

For me, observing from the sidelines, everything I saw (well, up to the seriously heated tempers) just made me want to play more with all y'all. Hope we'll get the chance ere too long!
