Anywhoo, yes,

1) Green check on Ele N1. Reason is simple, she was in my POE, not likely to clear, not likely to be NKed, and potentially spoke to SPF alignment.
2) Green check on Joe N2, indeed. Yogs is so smrt. Reason: adalia made a decent point, once I got past being made at him.Joe did look sketchy, and scum!joe would have sorted the Book slot for me.

I even asked the mod if the damn thing was broken.

All that rationalization about reading Ele in French and Joe being intentionally scummy because PR! was just ex-post facto B.S. trying to see how each of those slots is actually town and how I could defend those reads if pressed so that I could just lay them out as town in case I ate the NK.

There's some other breadcrumbing I did D2, but since Wyrm's not going to bite on the tease, it's probably irrelevant.

Because... investigating dead people doesn't tend to work out well for cops? Unless you are parity cop, in which case a few early dead targets is quite useful as long as you don't get tracked to them the night they bite it.

Had I known that cristi was going to claim backup cop and Vitek was going to flip miller, then sure, I would probably have approached N1 differently. Clearing POE as a strat doesn't work so well if your town reads can't 100% be trusted, I just didn't anticipate that.

Consider this: Assuming a Town Vig, Town could possibly have removed 3 cylons by Day 2 daybreak, without the two cops being considered. How does that factor in to things?

Depends on the mod. A few of us have at times been over-zealous in our use of flavour in mechanics, and it does usually come back to haunt you.

There was the game where Trent got himself lynched because he'd missed a very subtle line in the long (but surely poetic!) flavour yogs wrote that hinted dedo had tracked him.

Look, I think this is a GOG vs. other places issue. In most places your vig and your cop are best used clearing players who are unlikely to clear themselves through play. Without knowing what the setup is, it's hard to say for sure whether SPF is going to be vigged or not.

Sometimes the game is won through hero-ball, sure, but in some cases the best strat is to build a town-bloc for end-game. If the game ends on D-4 because you didn't lynch any mafia, then you probably should've gone for hero ball, if you get an early lynch in and are just hunting deep wolf in F3/F4/F5, then town-bloc is incredibly valuable.

I'm sorry you're that frustrated about that game and the strategic choices I've made. :(



With Ele and Dam both kinda awol and deadline 24ish hours out, I don't feel that great about odds of really finishing the game meaningfully anyway.

Making it worse it's really unlike I'll be here for deadline, I'm scheduled to be in meetings pretty much all day tomorrow. I really didn't know we were on deadline, and if Ele/Damn both are town, there's pretty much zero chance of lynching toasters as things stand.

My frustration has very little to do with you and more with outside circumstances, and your outside circumstances don’t seem much better than mine. So don’t think I’m upset with your choices as if they are accurate that is two town players we know that can help win it. I just would have investigated the claimed Roleblocker after seeing he was alive Day 2 and a deputy had been lynched meaning scum wouldn’t be killing him on night 2 more than likely if he really was town. Now we will not know until the game is over unless scum go stupid (don’t think that will happen) and leave you alive.

a) Both as a mod and a player you know my key weakness is cutting back against my own reads, which I think perhaps you might have exploited once or twice. Memory is fuzzy there.

But the short version, as alluded to earlier with Wyrm, is that I re-read several players overnight, including wyrmdalia and Joe. I copped Joe for the same reasons 5 people felt free to hogpile on his wagon - I do feel like I understand his posts, but they don't move towards anything really clearing, and the dude had ooooooone vote entire game.

In a world where there might be a Godfather and probably a pretty good chance I'm getting NKed by N3 anyway and would like to have something of use to leave behind, I felt like I had to take my best shot. Adalia felt >randwolf for sure, but probably more 50/50.

I think it's a reasonable assumption there's a Doctor out there. Certainly mafia would have to account for it. bler's not dying tonight. I'd bet my left leg he gets roleblocked tonight.

Unless we take care of that problem.

Actually, it rather is important. With the absence of multiple players who might or might not CC you, the townies of us are trying to assess whether your claim is truthful.

Breadcrumbs help show you aren't making stuff up (or at least that you've been building toward the claim for a significant period). Likewise, linking the Adalia post that convinced you to reread Joe would be a good idea.

For the man who was just telling me "we shouldn't rely so much on town PRs to win this", you're not helping convince me that the setup didn't exclude a town cop entirely.
