Agreed. I don't really see those 2 as direct contradictions.

That said, CatV seems a little bit too jumpy from those fairly mild questions.

It's referred to as your "meta" and it's absolutely fair game (but you are of course within your rights to object and refuse to answer the question as you are with any question in the game).

Listen, down be down on yourself. I think you do seem Town leaning and confused based on this post. If you're town it's difficult or sometimes impossible to figure out who the mafia players are. I've not played as many on here but even the most experienced players make mistakes when trying to figure out who the mafia players are.

So how can we figure out who mafia are? At this stage there's not much to go on. But in time there will be

Maybe a player who is acting against Town interests. They are happy to jump on a wagon (ie a player with gaining number of lynch votes) without a significant reason. Or they throw shade at a player for unreasonable reasons. Or they simply lurk and don't try to analyse what the other people playing the game are doing. If they aren't trying to solve the game maybe it's because they already know who their mafia buddies are and don't need to solve anything.

I dont see any good obvious answer scumteams so im assuming whoever is remaining mafia is probably being coached or is a lurker.

What made you think of a vig? And why did you assume they'd hero-shoot if you didn't warn them?

Oh and the family likes to watch this really old tv show called Colombo (which I don't get the appeal of as the plot of every episode really is "the guest star is the killer.") Anyway the episode they recorded last night "The Most Dangerous Match" and started to watch this morning has rapidly flashing colors, much like seizure graphics very early into it. I get really sick from these sort of things.

I'm going to need a few hours before I can really sit down and read posts.


This also means that I'm going to follow you around like a lost kitten for the rest of day one week.

Let's be mindful of one thing here -
FrostburnPhoenix's post #8 really is a ninja vote. For the purpose of this discussion, let's pretend it isn't there because it wasn't when I was submitting what ended up being post #9.

At the time of my writing post #9, we have this:

DkKoba1 (post 6) - votes for Joe with no information

supplementscene (post 7) - makes a comment supporting voting for Joe without voting

Catventurer (post 9) - makes a comment that Dkkoba1 seems a bit too eager to vote people off without voting for anyone

You then start getting all hardcore serious about things and campaign for having me lynched to the extent that you're still interrogating me about it.

Why is this contradictory?

In Post #12 - You say, "Isn't that what we're supposed to do to generate debate" while at the same time, you make me feel like I did sometime wrong for wanting to generate debate over DkKoba1's vote. For the record, I don't think there is anything to DkKoba's vote other than a purely random vote.

Now let's get back to Frost post #8 and acknowledge it for the moment.

If I had saw that, I probably would have made a different post entirely. I really don't want to be going after Frost at the moment, after I went after him pretty hard in the prior game only to be so completely wrong that I couldn't possibly be more wrong. It wouldn't be fair to DkKoba to question his vote and not question Frost's.

Also for the record, I don't think Frost's vote in post #8 was anything more than "hur hur! I'm voting for the person voting first."

You're the only person that is seriously trying to start a lynching within the first few hours when day one technically can last six days.
Being the first to vote on you isn't really starting a lynching. I'm trying to critically analyse your posts and see if you're trying to shade another poster without a valid reason. So when you criticise DKKoba for a random vote, which most players do at this stage I see it as unreasonable criticism. I don't see the contradiction there at all.

You seemed to take my Post 7 seriously. I thought it was very obviously a joke.

Voting for yourself to build an early wagon on yourself seemed frankly strange. Either you're a Townee giving up or Mafia trying to deflect or invoke pity by voting for yourself. I lean that it was more of a town reaction but it's hard to gauge.

As for you being wrong about Frost in the last game, that's a big part of the game from a Townee role. Most of us will be wrong many times over in the game. It makes it all the more satisfying when you're right about someone.

So unless I'm mistaken the following players below have yet to check in with us. It's not yet a full 24 hours I suppose and real life does come first.

In the absense of any behaviour that seems overtly too scummy I think targeting inactive players is probably the way to go for 2 reasons. Firstly in my experience Mafia players tend to not solve and hide in the background. My second time playing a mafia role I purposely showed up a few days late because I thought it would divert attention from me. It did the opposite. Could one of these rascals be trying my not so successful tactic?

Secondly if only to hopefully wake them up and stimulate some activity.

Voting for AmbitionZ Simply for inactivity and because he's Skeletor the most evil force in the universe.

because he wants to exist RVS before everyone shows up. I think that's the case, anyway.
Are you against exiting RVS? If so, why? It's a goofy, pointless exercise at the start of the game, when there is nothing better to do. But why prolong it, just because some people lurk? Do you see any benefit of a longer RVS stage for Town? Or do you just want to postpone real discussions as far as possible, because you want Town to have less time for real discussions?
