Manny could only facepalm again.

"Well," Nikolay started, "why, yes. Of course you'd want to work from home, for the flight sim thing. I bet you like playing Gundam games or that Armored Car game or whatever. They're all anime games, right? Not sure if Madoka Magica has a game compatible with the flight si-" Nikolay suddenly stopped. Nobody really had any idea why - maybe because they were too busy seeing Manny unable to retort? Or maybe it was Natsuko looking like she's one nanosecond away from a nuclear explosion.

"You know what," Manny slammed the table, "Yes, I want work from home."

Everyone gasped. Together.

"Hell," Manny pulled out his phone, seemingly scrolling through some app, "I joined this job because it offers WFH and a decent salary. What, you thought I'd spend thousands of dollars on this simulator just so I would spend half the day commuting in cars and trains, and then trapped in some office, huh?"

"Then you've got to be one of the two fake users!" Stuart hopped out of his seat. "Yes, you."

"Truth be told," Manny stood up, "I keep my conflicts to my warplane games. I'm too chicken to pull off a conspiracy like this. I don't want to go the office, but not to the point I'd make this...wonderful team." Manny left his seat, and went off to the side. "I'm resigning. Have fun halving your team for no reason, Stuart."

As usual, Price had another visitor.

"That's a lot more resignations than the usual" she thought.

"NIKOLAY!" Natsuko shouted, as usual. "Of course it's YOU! You're the culprit! You always have your fighting Santas in your PFP even on the 4th of July!"

"Hey, easy there girl." Joey interrupted. "It's almost Christmas, a good time for you, lady."

"Haha," Natsuko suddenly became a little flustered, as she scratched the back of her long, flowing, silky smooth hair. "Yeah... Christmas, right. Merry Christmas!"

Stuart's face lit up at once, too. "Shit, right, Christmas! Next week's off for everyone!"

At last it is upon us

"Welcome back!" Stuart beamed up, almost as if he had forgotten about all the shenanigans from last week. "I hope you had a merry, jolly Christmas. Let's start this new year with hopes and dreams."

Natsuko leaned back against her chair. "Yeah...hopes and dreams. Right."

Nikolay just stroked his slightly bushy chin. "Well, it's kind of hard to have hopes and dreams after, uhh 2020... and 2021... and 2022, and-"

"Just cheer up!" Joey interrupted Nikolay. "No need to be so gloomy. This is how we can stop these years from repeating over and over, you know."

Johan sipped from his tea. "Yep, gotta keep up the good spirit, you know."

Franco was just too absorbed with petting his pets. "Happy new year," you heard him utter quietly.

"Oh!" Amanda was briefly dumbstruck. "Happy new year to you guys!"

"Yeah, don't think about it, just celebrate!" Sam made his intro.

And then there was a notification, from the chat of course...

"Tickets, please." Some user called The Conductor wrote.

"Uhm," Franco was the first to notice that something was even more off. "The Conductor and... Santa Claus? What on Earth..."

"Just stop thinking!" Sam retorted. "You're playing their devilish game!"

"Ho ho ho. Is it really a devilish game, though?" Santa wrote.

"Well, I got all of your tickets punched...except for Johan." The Conductor continued. "No ticket, no ride for you."

Johan looked back at the screen, and then started typing a message out, forgetting that he was on a video stream and he could just respond directly with voice. "Why me?" was his answer.

"Well, it seems you've been a naughty boy this year. Probably you chewed it. Can't blame you, it was a little delicious." The Conductor wrote.

Johan froze for a second. "A naughty boy?" He muttered. "I haven't been called a boy like that since forever, and I'm not letting some jokers get away with it!" He was irritated to a great extent, though his voice remained quiet.

"Well, you know how it is," Santa wrote. "If we get rid of the big naughty boy, though, everyone else will be a good boy. Hohoho."

"Who is that big naughty boy?" Stuart stared at every face in the conference call, unable to tell who might've been said boy.

"Doesn't matter. I guess I'm out if that helps your vendetta." And just like that, Johan's side of the stream ended.

"Oh come on, I told you not to play their stupid games!" Sam slammed the desk.

"Whatever," Natsuko pulled a cigarette and lit it, puffing it already. "You guys need to get a thick skin or something."

Stuart slammed his table. "Enough is enough!" He was in the angriest he's ever been. "You better find out what the hell is going and stop it, or I fire all of you!"

Half the stream sighed, not in frustration or desperation, but simply in disappointment. They didn't have to play this "game", but here they are, anyway.

Outside this game, they were friends who liked hanging out with each other, but here they were supposed to bitterly oppose each other as teams that weren't even clearly defined to begin with. But hey, as long as Stuart was appeased.

Later in the day, Johan would submit his resignation to Price. "Oh come on, is this how the new year starts?" She grumbled after he left. "Stuart literally gave you more than a week off, and you come back frustrated like that. What in blazes is going on?"

It's now MONDAY! And no longer holiday season! The game resumes.

Well this is a bit of a disaster, it looks like we're 3 v 2 v1. At least my strongest Town read was correct. CatV messaged me on whatsapp via Pooka in the night too. Who did she message on Night 1?

Out of our dead Town players Yogs read Joppo as Town but CatV read him as Scum. She had Micro as neutral vanilla. But we need to lynch Scum today or lose. Joppo's votes have been all over the place and his post and vote after hammer on Day 1 was also suspect. Everyone else I'm finding hard to read. I preferred Micro over Yogs for the last lynch but Joppo seems most suspect to me now.

I'll hold off an early vote because Mafia have the ability to hammer if 2 of us pick wrong. But I think Joppo is my wagon of choice. I think he's Scum

Looking at CatVs role, it made perfect sense for her to go after Yogs when she thought he role claimed while knowing full well he didn't have one.

Since we get to make one post elimination bah post, I would like to use mine to thank Pooka for giving me the bestest role because I got to be Fred Rodgers and Ned Flanders all rolled up into one.

Oh, look-y, day 3 has started! O_o

Haven't done any meaningful re-reading, neither have I really organised my thoughts, but this is what I currently got...

1st of all -- CatV, a PR, being the NK of Night 2 is interesting... I would like to know how this came to be - did she contact mafia on Night 1? Did she reveal she was the FN by often proclaiming how we should stop searching for the FN and mafia picked up on this? Did mafia simply landed a ''lucky'' NK? Did the scum!cop investigated her on Night 1? So many possibilities. :/

2nd - YogSloth flipping as Town was... unexpected! O_o
What I'm currently struggling with is -- all his explaining didn't protect him from CatV... neither did I budge my vote when I committed... Where is/would be mafia more likely to cast a vote in this scenario?

a) admit YogS is a low-hanging fruit and join in on the wagon?
b) realize YogS will flip Town and abstain from voting?

I wondered this. But you're missing the fact Mafia have a Rolecop who can investigate this. I wonder if this is because you're Town and haven't read the set up. Or it's because you're being LAMIST and saying 'I don't know Mafia have a rolecop because I'm Town and haven't read the set up'. I'll let others give their read on this

You also haven't looked at the scenario that CatV accused Mafia players like Joppo and simply don't want her voting for Joppo on Day 3. Assuming Joppo is Mafia, which I think he is

As for Yogsloth flipping Town being unexpected. I though Yogs was Town and it was a misunderstanding for much of the day. Perhaps you thought different as Town or perhaps you were an opportunistic Mafia player thinking Yogs liked an easy free hit.

Mind you Yogs did a terrible job of defending himself, I think I tried to make a case for him better than he did himself, which really shouldn't happen.

The other thing about CatV being a good Mafia hit maybe that she was certain about Yogs being Scum because he hinted he may have a role and she 100% knew he didn't have a Town role. Still I was right that he was talking about the Flight Sim in the Flavour Set Up. Yogs you really needed to do better explaining this.

Re-reading this. Thinking about Lift's take on this. I think you're the alternate faction and your projecting the 'why was I given this faction' into speculating about Trent being given that role after Trent flips Town. There's no real logic behind this speculation. It's not solving the game. It's looking busy behaviour and hiding in plain sight.

But I think you're more likely to be the alternate faction than outright Scum. And we need to lynch outright Scum on Day 3 to win. So you probably shouldn't be lynched.

Thing is - anytime I dared take my tunnel-vision away from Yogs and glance over at microfish - all I could think of was: ''What the hell are they doing over there??''

b) Him questioning Pooka
