Catventurer: I said that if I had to pick between Lift and yourself on Day 1 that I was more confident about Lift being Town at that time than yourself.
Okay, yeah. I had misread it as you assuming that we were of different affiliations, but it was just a hypothetical premise. Too bad, i was hoping that you had found some sort of clue on that.

avatar
Catventurer: With newbie help posts specifically, I treat them as separate entities from the game itself. A new player asking questions needs to be able to trust whatever answer they get and for that reason, we should be given honest answers only.
I don't treat anything separately. But to clarify once again : I wasn't suspecting Lifth to deliberately, coonsciously try to mislead people with a help post. I suspected an unconscious bias of his - knowing that Csanj was town and therefore forgetting to give mafia gameplay info. No machiavellian intent of his, but some sort of freudian slip by omission.

To push the blaspheme further with an extreme example : It's like, players will not try to mislead us with fake real life info (that would be cheating), but could theoretically still make accidental slips when giving real life info ("I have my mum's funeral, so I might not be here for the nightkill" "for the what!?" "oops"). Fair or unfair, other players would notice.

Catventurer: I do apologize for the delay and making you wait. As we get to know each other more, you're going to find with me that it's not unusual for me to give the appearance of ignoring something then replying to it later.
Yeah, but when we don't react chronologically, it gives the impression of "skipping" a question. Which can actually be the case, accidentally or not.

Catventurer: Unfortunately, there are four special needs cats in this house that can be very demanding of my attention
I won't play the cat card. Let's just say I'm jaded, and I'll develop post-game.

I sometimes speak in hypothetical, such as given that these two people are of different alignments then I'm inclined to believe that this person is town and that person isn't. Although I did say one game that something felt like town-on-town aggression.

I could speak more on this, but I'm really too tired at the moment to elaborate further.

I have more than enough going on here that I really don't need to make stuff up. If something really significant was to happen in real life for me, I'd pull out of the game.... such as that kitchen fire that happened during Day 1 of a prior game.

Also Ginger (cat with kidney failure) gets fluid injections twice a week, which takes two people to accomplish. All of these cats are on different special diets so meal times for them requires more than one person just to ensure that nobody is eating anyone else's food. I'm also in California, which means that I'm in a time zone behind everyone.

The Internet claims that it's about 5:30am on Saturday where you're at but for me, it's still 9:30pm on Friday. This means that I say that I'll be away for a while to deal with the cats, I should be back within a few hours on what would be the same day from my point of view.

The alternative is that I'll just hold the post until I can respond to everything I am going to respond to so that you can therefore know with certainty that if I don't respond to something, it was likely an accident.

Anyway, it is late here thus I am going to bed now.

Atlo: What's the other part?
avatar
Atlo: Dangit!!!
Forgot to add this in previos post.
Partly means there were more than 1 reason -- what were the others?
In case there was a new player who was Cop and he had found Scum but didn't want to reveal it and they got NK'ed the following night
You're really making it hard for me to justify why I should remove my vote, you clumsy oaf! :'')

Will get back to this in an hour or two.

That was... actually the correct answer.

No offense, but your playstyle is that of an clumsy oaf, whether I imagine you playing you as Town, of mafia. But as mafia you would have the advantage of atleast 1 helping you.

On the first 2 RL days of Day2 you kept making blunder after blunder after blunder. If you were mafia-scum your teammates would have told you to pull the emergency brake. But 80% of the playerbase was AFK, so you might not have had anyone to tell you that. Cometh yesterday - everyones back at their desks and now you post something that makes you look innocent.

Ofcourse they would not have given you a text to copy-paste, but simply told you: ''Quick! Claim your Doctor or Bodyguard or something!''. You mistaking a lynch for a Night Kill would have been your cookskills.
Stating there were more than 1 reasons why you wanted the Town Cop to come out also. (So that we may kill him, hardy-har-har!) You ignoring my question made you look even more suspicious.

But now you post an answer. And it is... it is what it is... =''D
Seeing as how you are in high water you would have waited for someone to post you a better excuse.

Ironic, isn't it? Giving a bad answer was the correct answer.
(If someone sees something wrong with my reasoning, feel free to correct me; You are not out of the woods yet, SupplementScene.)

Now begins the nasty part. With 30 hours left until the deadline -- a complete refocus. >_<

Should have been: ''So that YOU may kill him''. I was writing that from supplementscene's point of view. >_<

dedoporno: If you haven't read #216, didn't pay too much attention to it or simply forgot about it - please take another look and tell me - am I giving bucktooth credit where it isn't due?
i don't see it so much - well i guess i acknowledge that it would have to be a little bit crafted to have come from scum bucktooth, but i don't think it would be difficult

but this post makes me think town ded op so that's good

avatar
JoeSapphire: why's that? because town know to trust them and can be more focused? or something else i'm not thinking of?
avatar
my name is anime catte: Mainly because what small advantage they give starts earlier and has the potential to last longer. Leave it too late to claim and it just becomes a liability.
i kinda feel like the earlier the claim the less likely they are to make it to the later stages where they can have more impact. i know a confirmed town at lulo just forces the mafia to falseclaim as you said, but a confirmed town but one step before that and the confirmed town should be pretty devastating for the mafia

yogsloth: i'm just kiddin

i'm really sweet
... ò_ō

what's the plan yogs? what do we do?

((

yogsloth: catte is a nothingburger

but Cat is super high effort and reads pretty pure, are you a new player? Hi, I'm yog, I'm a potato
can we use 'catv' instead of just cat? staring at this post for ages rrying to work out wtf was going on...))
avatar
yogsloth: Vote Catte
A specific reason, or just default vote due to lack of content and rejection of visibility bias ?

Agh, I came online to post and I can't think of anything to say. I need to go to the shops, maybe I'll have some thoughts by the time I get back.
