Nah, no need to feel embarrassed! No matter which side you are on, you have convincingly (for me, anyway) perpetuated your "I'm always town" vibe, while I've continued my "nearly always scum" vibe. :D I for one wasn't awkward one bit, and you are welcome. Do not doubt that. :D

Dogmaus: I feel a bit overwhelmed by so many posts too, and my English, it can be weird, but my Italian is as well. Not being able to edit all my frequent mistakes is painful.

I'm learning about roles and trying to make sense of the game. I feel powerless and not smart enough. This game is more frustrating than I expected!

Between these two scripts you can isolate (ISO) all posts in any thread made by one user, containing any particular word or word string, "quick post" (instead of having to open a new window to make a new post) and other things. They are very useful for this game.

Never false-claim as Town. Unless you 100000% know what you're doing. Never this early in game.
Claim true or refuse to claim.
Even if your claim is a policy lynch one (Miller) claim it and take one for the team. Or refuse. Don't lie.

By lying you simply confuse everyone. Other town PR make bad decisions based on your claim.

What little advantage you gain by confusing scum, is not worth putting your whole team in jeaopardy.

Town shouldn't lie - if you claim one thing then later claim you're something else you're probably going to get lynched.

Claiming a role that you're not is dangerous because someone might have a way of knowing you're not, and then they out themselves in order to get you lynched and you ruin the whole game.

Also I don't think an outed commuter IS as useless as all that. I might be able to clear my name by catching a scum in a lynch (tbf it's not looking very likely right now but it's possible).

And THEN the scum are going to be all like "dangit! We need to kill Joe now, but how many shots does he got left? Oh no I'm so stressed about it I'm going to start making mistakes during the day phase even!"

and then try and kill me and fail because of my superior tactics.

No breadcrumbs here. Just a reference to a previous game where scum refused to NK an outed Cop who breadcrumbed this way. Against catte's-alter-ego's better judgment. SPOILER: They lost.
