Something off-topic I feel like sharing as it's quite thematic.

We had this game in Among Us last evening, with ZFR and Vitek.

On the second round a kill happened that seemed to point to Purple. They said they didn't see it as they doing a task and their vision was impeded. They couldn't say which task they were doing.

We skipped voting (NoLynch). I'm all but sure that Purple is the killer.

During the next round we all run around and I go do a scan task. Red (Vitek) watches me along with another player - there is a good possibility that task gets you full cleared if the watchers also have it as they are prompted to wait for the first person to finish. We go to the main building and lights go out. Just before they do I see Purple go up towards the electrical board and Cyan (who I trust 100%) goes right after her.

I quickly go to Vitals (which shows all players and if they are dead or alive) and Cyan dies instantly in front of my eyes. The period between me seeing Cyan and Purple go in the same direction and me watching Cyan dying on vitals is like 4-5 seconds max.

I'm now certain it's Purple. I run to where I expect the body to be and report it.

It's final 3 - Purple, Red (Vitek) and myself.

We get into a discussion where I explain in details why it's Purple as I have tons of information and it all points to her. Red doesn't insta-vote Purple even though in his eyes it has to be her as he watched me scan and said he trusts I didn't fake it.

I get cold feet in the last seconds but I already had this massive case built up and I think it's stupid to go against my better judgement and we vote Purple off together.

Vitek wins as the Impostor.

I thought I was Columbo and I was just a dumbass. I'm getting PTSD thinking about it right now...

dedoporno: @mod, nmillar's post appears to be almost a week old. Have you tried to reach out to him?
I feel this is worth highlighting, as it goes slme way to explaining my question about Joppo.

Anyway, dedo spotted the slip on D2, and was a key driver behind that wagon. On D3, however, Pookina was the first to vote, so one of you has definitely bussed your buddy. Dedo provided sound reasoning to get that wagon moving, whereas Pookina's early vote could have been something that was agreed during night chat, or he simply realised that Joppo was well past the point of no return.

I will love it if the Joopa auto-correct turns out to be quite prophetic.

nmillar: On D3, however, Pookina was the first to vote-
Quick note:

The D3 early vote is a continuation of my vote on him from D2, which I explained to be the result of his interactions with the other players in regards to "da slip" and how I found everything he said to be particularly convenient. In actuality, once I felt that Micro was Towny, he stopped being on my radar, and if IIRC, both Joppo and Micro were tied for votes, so I didn't even feel the need to hop on Micro to avoid a NL - because I was more or less doing my part.
Deadline in around 24 hours.

This is way too fast for me.

Pookina: This is way too fast for me.
48 hours should be plenty for a day with only 3 players... I only didn't set a deadline initially because normally it takes care of itself. How long would you like the day to last?

I thought you'd already come to the decision that you're judging this beauty pageant?
I took a nap with my boy and I'm feeling better now.

I realized that nmillar has made more effort Today than all previous Days, maybe combined. Did you kick it in high gear after you saw a crack worth developing?

I don't mind giving Pooka some more time but I kind of don't want this to have to resolve in Christmas Eve or Christmas as I won't be around a lot. If necessary, I don't we put the game of pause during Christmas holidays.

More to do with needing to put in the extra effort to try and turn this around for a town victory.

Agree with putting the game on hold if we don't wrap this up in the next few hours. I'll additionally not be around much on the 26th as my wife is working and ill be looking after the baby.

You're a sweet dad, aren't you?

Pookina: The closest were "he said he expected dedo to kick the bucket," which you had no comment on when explained.
I keep coming back to this. I just don't understand the logic, when ZFR was clearly wearing a shirt with a bullseye motif and standing below a huge neon sign, with an arrow pointing directly downwards with the words "NK exchanged for gold", probably doing some fancy scrolling thing.

Yeah, I have Christmas in mind too.

@all:

The way I see it there are three options:

1. I keep the deadline in place and we finish this thing before Xmas.
2. I pause the game. There will be no posting allowed until further notice as if it were night.
3. I could combine the above and enforce a pause rather than a night when we hit the deadline.

That and Pooka's position on the game state are why I told that story. I'm afraid it might be the red flag that I was presented with at the end of that game that I chose to ignore for the sake of the complete and perfectly logical picture I had built during the whole game. I hate it.

I don't have a preference as long as we don't have to "work" on Christmas. Nmillar appears to be in line with how I see it so I'd suggest to wait and see what would work for Pooka and call it how you see fit.

Yep, would suggest option 3 if we're unable to complete by deadline.
Fine, let's do this thing.

Well, not everyone sees what you see, but it's fine if you don't understand it. Does that logic make me scummier or Townier? Personally? I don't think it matters much. As I said, it was a hunch.

nmillar: Interesting how Joppo jumps to Pookina's defence here.
Alternative interpretation: Joppo is not jumping to my defense; rather, he held on to a solid lead against Microfish (evidenced by the fact he immediately voted him). That I was Micro's point of contention is coincidental.

That's for the quick stuff. I'll do a proper read of dedo and nmillar. Then, I'll hopefully have something to work with and avoid us extending the deadline.
