GymHenson: Tbh I wish he would've let someone else do the honors.
Why?
Because I am guessing that scum possibly want to avoid the NL(in this game more so as per ZFR's math and the wiki info he told us about earlier), and might've been willing to risk being the hammer vote to avoid it. Yes, I'd also would have preferred if he Trent didn't do it. In case only one scum is on his wagon right now, maybe the other one would have been forced to join in the end to seal the lynch which would have tied both of them to the crime scene. That's a lot of ifs and woulds but still. Additionally, he voted against a confirmed Townie which is a poor play in general but I suppose he was frustrated enough to decide to do it.
The only "good" part about is that in this way Trent likely narrowed down the circle of suspicion on at least one of the scums.
Either way, I still prefer to have this lynch than to have none right now.
GymHenson: Also from D1(changed to fit D2): Do you think it's better for us to go with a NL today(D2) or sometime later(D3 and onwards)?
Now that we have some leads to look at I'm more open to skip a day as it's likely going to help filter the information we have, even if it's just a bit. That said, I more inclined to do it Tomorrow rather than Today, but now that we do have something to look at I'm open to it and we should do it before the clock for it runs out.
bucktoothgamer: I dont see the concept of self-voting as an inherintly scum move. The only 2 instances i have experienced it were both town. So to me the idea of the self-vote making joppo swing from town/center trent to scum!trent raises more of an eyebrow than the "fool me again" comment.
That's the point (in my opinion, I mean) - ZFR is latching on specific wording but that post as a whole and the presented surprise and "shaking fist against the sky" like "Damn you, fooled again!!" just makes no sense in that situation. I also think it's possible it was overdone theatrics. Like a reverse start-of-the-day-post where someone opens with "Oh noes, XXX died, why oh why did they kill the towniest of Town, YE SHALL BE AVENGED BROTHER". The only thing staying my hand is that some people are still keeping quiet.
bucktoothgamer: I mean to play joppo's advocate: when he had a chance to jump on the trent wagon he voted for me ~
Not jumping on the leading wagon doesn't automatically mean one is not scum. We already said that it's likely one scum kept distance to remain clean. It could very well have been Joppo.
