OK, if you put it like that, that's totally something I would do as scum. Place an idea that someone might be scum out there, without stating it explixitly (or even stating explicitly that it is NAI), to let other players come to the conclusion that the targeted player might be scum after all ... yes, that would be nice scum play. :-)

But in this case I simply don't like the idea of extending Day 1 for another Day.

@Korotan: OK. In this case we strongly disagree on the NL topic and your hopping on ZFR delivering a justification for NL was kind of opportunistic - but not necessarily for scummy reasons but rather for personal taste reasons. So, for now,

LOL, that is a very poor way to disclose pertinent information to the game. I also think it effects the game as well and gives more power to Town knowing how many mafia there are, and we already have the number advantage. Sucks for mafia I guess. Hopefully you and your buddy will be ok.

Nope. 2vs10 in a Vanilla Setup is actually a decent Mafia advantage.

With 2 Mafia players, Town only get an advantage at 19 total players (though realistically it's playable at around 15).

I'm sure in a Mountainous game, nightkills will be weighed based on how much information it will give Town at no cost of doubt. So the Mafia will choose a good nightkill that will give Town almost little to work with, such as possible conflicts or suspicions. So don't count too much on using the nightkill target to figure out the intentions of the killer, at least not right now with 12 players remaining on the board.

Some quick thoughts:

* About the bragging rights "derpclear": I'd rather you suspect/trust me based on anything other than "wow your bragging rights have three people, it should be two mafioso." It's just a really weak to grant me Town points. Anyway, dedo's observation about me is right: I'm capable of some pretty nice gambits, but for them to come out on Day 1 is a stretch. And especially not a "gambit" as weak as that. I could see myself doing it as a mafioso but not out of an intent to ride on WIFOM, but forgetfulness.

* I feel Lift's fierceness against ZFR's idea reminds me of Scum Lift more than anything. He's usually more confident and plays a riskier game as Mafia, whereas he isn't as fiery when he's Town. That said, his nitpicking of my saying "I am myself" reads more like a shitpost to be honest than a serious thought (lol), probably Town points but still leaning on the Scum side.

* Trent is...Town. I'm calling it...wait no, that's a bad idea, I was the game host for Mamlakat al Shams and I witnessed firsthand the godlike abilities of Scum Trent...gah!! Anyway, I still give him some Town points. Attacking ideas he feels aren't beneficial to Town is so like him. Also I agree that the whole thing with the number of mafiosos being hidden in the middle of the sign-up thread is unintuitive as heck. I was there for the whole two mafiosos thing back when it was shaping up to be a 9 player and we were waiting for cristi, but with 12 players I thought that "therefore, 3, maths couldn't get any easier."

* I know this is a meme older than GOG being incompetent, but GymHenson...is GymHenson. The usual. Can't townread him at this time of day.

Sorry, to clarify:

That's an interesting theory. It's also one I'm certain is wrong. If you wanna test it I recommend you start with Lift, naturally.

That's not the same. Saying an NL should be done is not the same as saying NL should be done on D1. In fact I've said repeatedly that it doesn't matter when we do it.

Like:
