That said, i'll stick to this wagon as we need to get people to claim and wagon hopping won't help with that.

He doesn't give me that vibe. I find him perhaps more engaged than previous game (#68) where he was town power role.

There are other thing in-between doinh nothing and voting as soon as case is presented against someone.

I did the math (it wasn't easy) and it came out the odds are... high.
Also being town in one game has nothing to do with being one in following. Lift could explain it to you I'd bet.

First tell me, what do you think of ZFR's case?

Problem is if we wait until a "good"(to you or anyone) case is presented to start building wagons...especially on D1.....time will likely be in short supply if we need to change course.

I say (on D1 at the very least) get people to claim range and then pick the most viable lynch candidate.

Hunter isn't really a newcomer, he's a returning player. He may not be a regular participant like most of our cast but is quite capable and doesn't deserve to be cut any slack whatsoever.


Obviously the odds between games are irrelevant (I'm sure Lift would be telling you so if he was playing :P). And it should be obvious that in most normal games a player is statistically more likely to be Town than scum. I know you put a smiley at the end of this question and is probably not meant to be absolutely serious but the decision to include it at all as one of the arguments behind joining the wagon weirds me out a bit.

I didn't like how blotunga got entangled in the rules topic - said he read and understood them but clearly didn't pay [enough] attention to them. On the other hand I think ZFR is putting a bit too much weight on that which gives me pause along with the fact how quickly some people decided to hop in on that wagon. I'm somewhat concerned that this might have been a Town blunder and ZFR decided to bank on it for an easy early lynch which blotunga has been in past games. Again on the first side - I don't like the OMGUS return vote either but it might make sense in the situation described previously so not sure about that.

All in all, ZFR's vote I can understand. His strong conviction not so much but maybe it's legit. Pooka's and GH's votes on the other hand seem forced.


pre-post edit: I see ZFR backed off which makes me feel a bit better about his original push as him backing off like that wasn't really called for as more people than not seem to be in support or neutral about it.

As I sorta said above/before....if we wait on D1 until we have a case to start building wagons, we might end up scrambling at EOD.

To avoid this, imo we should try to get someone to claim range and then decide if they're a viable lynch choice or not. On D1 we have little to go on usually, so one player is near as good as any other.

(Well beyond the newcomers who i'm giving the usual D1 slack)

After several people's reaction to my accusation I no longer think there is a good chance it will lead to a lynch. But who knows.

That's what I meant but you can forget it as it was covered in later posts. Usually I write while I read and my content is mostly in order referenced posts. When I have time and things call for it I go back to redact things but I'm in my lunch break right now and didn't feel like wasting time. I think I get where your current standing is.

Claiming early only helps scum and should never be Town's goal. There is a reason cryptoclaiming was invented: it allows for early claiming without giving scum any advantage. But since that shifted the balance too much in Town's favour, it was banned since.

Either the person who claims is Town, in which scum get valuable info, or he's scum, in which case what do you expect him to claim? That he's scum? His real role? We'll get false info from him

Claiming on D1 is *very* bad. You're giving scum free info.

It's done when you're close to Lynch as a last resort. Like airbags. But having airbags inflate should never be a driver's goal.
