(Also btw an aside: I was thinking of leaving my vote on laser earlier AFTER you "thretened" me with the day vig....I mean I want to keep playing and help us win(and didn't want to get shot by you if you are day vig), but also wanted to test you to see if you're the day vig or not.....I only dropped the vote to give you a chance to find actual scum amongst the player base.....and you seem to be taking your grand old time of it for some reason :|

I mean yes, make sure to make a good shot and all, but if you don't feel like it[for some odd reason] we need ample time to get a suspect's wagon to lynch if you choose that route.)

I already said why....to several players.....I have personal/private matters IRL that are weighing heavily on my mind(impossible to prove, I know, and I didn't list what they are....others can and should feel free to suspect/lynch/etc me for it if they choose/want to, but this isn't your normal every day IRL issue and I feel it best not to spread such things in public threads).

As for why I know it is night phase and when to not post more than deadline in this case: I check the last few posts and page of a game to make sure it's not night phase, so I don't accidentally post then. Usually the deadline posts aren't on the latest page or within the latest few posts of a mafia game, and if they aren't I might miss them**.

You copy all a player's posts for a game/for the day to a wordpad/notepad or similar and look at them side by side, then use that to make a judgement call on them(iirc that's how it works).

The whole point of prolonging everyone's suffering was...drawing out tons of reactions and generating enough content to be examined for ages, even when the Day is over. That plan worked. Nearly 350 posts for Day 2. The three mafiosos have left enough marks to get them caught later, if not now. So bear with it. If you want to end the day earlier, go ahead and start voting someone to lynch. I won't threaten anyone from now on.

Still, the more I think about it, the more Lift appears to be bugging me. Even though it's been explained several times, he goes and asks me to shoot Laser instead of voting him like SPF was requesting. After Joe popped up with an explanation of the day vig and when the shot doesn't occur, he still insists to lynch the attempted target rather than ask first if it's the work of the doc/blocker. And I feel he's the walking WIFOM Lift now. In addition, he did mention that him sticking to LAL was not alignment indicative, he was just that angry by Agent's remarks - but it wasn't a Town thing. So now, I'll have to demote him.

Another benefit to offing Lift is seeing how he flips and gauging that against scene's remarks, which in turn gauged against Laser. I'm finding the idea tempting, and I'm going to pull the trigger Friday morning if nothing changes my mind on Lift...

Wait, holy. Scene and Laser were throwing accusations on each other, possibly distancing on Day 1. Scene was also accusing Lift of a lazy vote, another possible distancing...hmm...

That's cutting it close to the actual deadline....but ok, whatevers.

Also why haven't you picked a shot now that you've gathered all this info on everyone?

And if you are day vig and we lynch someone and scum get you during the night phase we'll have lost a fellow town(and maybe 2 if the lynch choice turns out to be town)....also we'll all have collective egg on our faces(and rightly so).

Atm I don't have a read either way on Lift.....if you shoot them make sure you're sure and have a good read on them before doing so....you don't want to shoot a town by mistake.

You should get two extensions for greasemonkey or tampermonkey to greatly enhance the GOG experience, especially this wreck of a forums. Barefoot Monkey and Adalia Fundamentals. I think the latter includes a post search utility, which you can use to search every post in a thread with filters such as username. Useful for ISOs. The former includes stuff like quick posts, which are great.

I am not a fan of self-voting. In my experience, most players find it scummy. Doing something scummy does not make a player scum. From the best I can recollect, I have witnessed more self-votes from town (usually from frustration) than from actual scum. But scum do use it.

As Pookina said, Adalia Fundamentals is a life saver. You can ISO by player and other searches.

I don't get scene's logic. There are some posts I follow, but others are a pure quagmire. I don't have anything to help you on following his logic. My guess is he probably always looks scum based just on logic. (no offense scene). My read on scene is based mostly on intuition. I believe that he believes what he is saying, I am not sure how to put that better...his explanations seem honest even when I don't follow the logic. I don't get the sense he's trying to snow anyone.
