SirPrimalform: LASER's "super power" post
I took it as another boastful "Im so much better at Mafia than you little people" joke.

Prepsot EDIT: see?

avatar
SirPrimalform: Huh, just caught up and we seem to have a hammer. LASER's "super power" post almost made me switch votes but it's probably for the best that I didn't.
avatar
LASER97: It's not my fault that I'm almost immune to being lynched.
Being good at Mafia is like being a lady. If you have to keep telling everyone that you are, you probably aren't.
When I noticed that Carradice and Scene were gone for 2 days on I posted:
avatar
Cadaver747: @Carradice
@supplementscene
Where art Ye???
Micro notices Scene's absense:
avatar
Microfish_1: Scene has been abnormally quiet. Yet, he isn't raising big red flags either (or really small ones other than forgetting that i had voted, which is easy enough to do.)
Finally Scene returns
avatar
supplementscene: Sorry guys. I haven't been able to participate in the last few days as I've had to prioritise a customer. I will catch up today
If you could let also me know when close of day is
I greeted him and asked to check my or Cristigale's reply:
avatar
Cadaver747: We should have about ~3 calendar days left. Please reply to my or Cristi's post.
Later on Scene defends Pooka:
avatar
supplementscene: In Post 69 - Lift makes a big song and dance about past Mafia games where Mafia players have claimed Mafia roles as jokes and says he believes in lynching all liars. But this is a day 1 joke - Pooka doesn't even claim Mafia but Mafia Town, which is impossible. To me it looks like Lift is pulling a WIFOM in Post 69 - it seems too over the top
He even proposes the possibility for one Mafia lynching another, it's the first time he named Pooka as possible Mafia (and the last one):
avatar
supplementscene: Even if Pooka is Mafia, I still think Lift smells scummy vibes because he'll get loads of town points for bussing a teammate if that is the case.
Scene chose Cristigale's post over mine and states that he saw that Joe's vote was placed before posting (he knew about 1 out of 4 discrepancies):
avatar
supplementscene: You are correct I think I'd only caught up to Joe's vote count prior to my post and hadn't updated it to include new posts. The posters that know me will testify I'm prone to making such gaffs
...(need time, thank you ALL for giving it to me, thank you for the bump... for everything)
avatar
ZFR: Being good at Mafia is like being a lady. If you have to keep telling everyone that you are, you probably aren't.
The fact that I survived blatantly fake claiming on day one already proves what I said to be true.

LASER97: Gameplan if Micro flips scum

1. Lynch Cadaver
2. Investigate either Gamerager or Scene
3. Shoot whichever fool the cop didn't investigate (for real)
Gameplan if Cadaver flips Town

1. Lynch Laser - no should not have any argument against it, right?
2. Investigate either Gamerager or Scene - agree that they are fishy, however Town can't investigate if they don't have a role (not at all manipulative)
3. Shoot whichever fool the cop didn't investigate (for real) - what a load of cr...p

Yeah, and I almost switched votes because of it!
Left the game at #363 (minus a deserved LOL post). Back at #418. Will try to comment on the main issues

Cadaver747: Are you serious? He did it yesterday!
Really, Is Scene on the ball? Like, at all.

Worried about O'Rager and Large not showing. Although they both mentioned RL issues, IIRC. Now Games arrived for the end-of-day showdown, and he sounds like pure, undilluted O'Rager.. Hopefully things improve with both of them on the next game-day. One day is OK. More... Also, I really want to hear the Lift's take on the Scene/Lazy exchange.

cristigale: If we lynch scene and he flips town, are you gonna to want to lynch Laser?
avatar
Cadaver747: That's an excellent question which we should ask ourselves.
I don't like Laser for what he has done (I think he deserves a modkill, yes I know he hasn't broke any rules), I don't have any strong feelings/vibes about probability of him being Mafia, what what he has done was anti-Town both ways: if Scene lied and if Scene said the truth.
But one thing is certain for me: I might not be willing to vote Miss Pookina so much in that case (Scene flip Town).
The most healthy approach, and the most effective, involves keeping a mind open to new clues. Especially since the first impressions on Day 1 get are to be necessarilly weak, compared to later game clues, and they get paired with more solid evidence. So, Cadaver's tiny light went off, and Pookie's faded in the background. Most likely, the discussion over today's lunch should be heated and revealing, whatever it ends up being.

(@Cristine, consider your largely rethorical question answered. For more examples of how I think, you can find them on the Harry Potter's game)

@Lonzi: Thanks for the clarification. Comments on this thread mentioned that this was your first GOG mafia game. Had no idea that you were a veteran from another site. This helps when interpreting your posts, and is a revealing mode, kudos for that.

Hopefully you will enjoy the game and the community. Being one of the newer guys around, I can tell you already that games are indeed laid-back, where someone can stay friendly while calling you scum in seven different ways, and where you actually miss people when they are absent, regardless of the alignment they will receive (Trent comes easily to mind, along others). There is also this attitude, shared by many, of having fun while playing and solving the game.

Cristine might be legit Town. The vote on O'Rager is par for the course. Yet nothing Games did (not showing too much because of RL?) appears scummier than the Scene/Lazy so far. Is Cristine falling into the trap of neglecting the simple and tangible for the imaginary? Some seasoned mafia players seem to do so. Like, going for the convoluted might be cooler than staying with the tangible and obvious. Dunno, but still, I think easy does it.

Well, kudos in advance if the Fish flips scum, because I never saw it (I still doubt you did). In he flips Town, I hope you are preparing some kind of excuse for your sorry asses. Only that of course you will not, since it is a lazy lunch and most voted "just because". Nice way to lunch, noncommital, free of consequences... only, it will not be, hopefully. This brings back memories of Micro and Flocke, only in a reduced, meaner and non-entertaining way.

Not sure why this group just took to lunch a nice, enjoyable guy who did not do anything especially scummy. Seriously. Please, wise people, explain to the novice. Surely you know something I do not.

Undoubtedly. Only yesterday I was doing my shopping and heard the lady in front of me say "That zazak is so daring. I can never metaread him so he always wins at Mafia." You're world famous, dude.

Cadaver747: We have more than 7 hours!!! Give me at least 20 mins... f@ck
Yeah, and wait until they run out to hammer, only to find out someone or another changed their vote.
Tell me what you brag about and I'll tell you what you lack.

Anyone who change his vote would get +100 Mafia points. Of course you must have been not knowing about that.
avatar
Cadaver747: Anyone who change his vote would get +100 Mafia points. Of course you must have been not knowing about that.
And when that someone changes their vote, we still get a no-lynch. You're the only one who can guarantee your own vote, and trusting you to hammer 7 hours is trusting you not to forget about it 7 hours later, not throw a wrench into the works, or trusting that your internet won't die out. I'm through with voting on the last 10 seconds before deadline.
@Cadaver

By the way, your English has gotten much better since the first game. I haven't had any trouble understanding you.

First of all I gave my word and start up a timer (you might heard about such things), second of all if there will no hammer it will automatically means my execution by angry mod. Lastly the vote change is possible in such cases ONLY if discussed between ALL interested persons in advance. Either you're playing dump with me or you sincerely do not understand the fundamentals here!

Remember the Harry Potter game. The days that ended in a lunch for Flocke, Trent... Man, those were rollercoasters.
Well soon enough plates are coming out and everybody seems to be pleasured up and no-one is giving much thought to the carrying on of a moment ago, and so everybody in the place is most surprised when Scenes Supplamicz, who seems to look at him to be a very peacable kinda guy, pulls out the old equaliser and it says like this: 'whammity wham wham' and in no time at all the wall of Gog's back room is full of slugs, and Mike the Fish is likewise.
Personally I am not too sorry to see Mike the Fish with holes in him in this way, for as I am saying already if you are looking for a crook you will find no equal, except perhaps if you were to look in the direction of Shirley Primalley, but naturally it is somewhat unsettling to have such an appetising lunch interrupted in this manner.
Well things being what they are, guys and dolls are soon jawing and carrying on once again, and many are seem proponents of one cause and many seem in proponents of another and one doll or another is making through the Fish's wallet and so everybody seems to come to some agreement at that time and so we are soon sat down once again and eating Gog's lunch, though I for one am finding myself quite without an appetite.
