Besides, how do you imagine the game ends in your scenario? 2 Town die leaves 2 town, 2 scum, and the SK.
The game would not end. You'd have every chance to finish me with a lynch (and the scum would help you as well).

This isn't just a risky tactic for an SK, it would be suicide. There was no reason to claim beginning of day 2 for any SK. There is a reason for a Vig who unloaded their shot.

Using a Vig shot day 1 isn't that unusual. The reasoning is sound. You just seem unwilling to accept in a small game like this, someone would Vig Night 1.

I agree, I don't think a SK would expose himself to that kind of scrutiny. He would like let the others keep guessing. So, I wonder why does SPF insist on the SK scenario? I'm a bit reluctant to bring him to L-1 at this point to find out more until the others haven't said enough.

It's not something I'd expect the mod to answer during the game, so I don't see a point in asking. It's a semi-open setup, the public information is there in the OP so I'd assume anything we've not been explicitly told to be part of the mystery. I have first hand experience of playing as a SK in which I did elect not to kill on some nights.

If Lift answers then great, it's just not something I even considered. Meanwhile you continue to OMGUS hard.

Your maths is wrong, there are 7 of us right now. One mislynch plus two nightkilled townies would equal 4 players left. With one SK and assuming 2 scum there would only be 1 townie left. The game would essentially be over for town.

And yes, I think that using the vig shot night 1 is insane. Your reads aren't properly formed at that stage, especially if you've just replaced in.

I do appreciate that you're discussing this now though. Your OMGUS vote only gave the impression I was onto something.

It's fine to have that opinion, but I still felt it was better to discuss it than not. I always bring up every possibility that occurs to me.
Does anyone remember that time when I suggested Joe and gogtrial our "lovers" might actually be evil and then they murdered us all in our sleep? Even I dismissed that as crazy, but I would have felt a lot worse about that if I hadn't brought it up. The point is that all of these things need discussing, then we can dismiss them if they're bonkers.

The post I made earlier is an explanation that occured to me this morning after sleeping on it. I personally think it might actually be worth the gamble for a SK, it's really really hard to win as one and claiming to be a spent vig is a good way to get everyone off your back. If everyone else disagrees then fine, although I reserve the right to lord it over you all if RW takes all of our guns.

Nothing has changed my opinion that SPF is our best bet at lynching scum.

I am the enthralling conversationalist, I spoke to blotunga last night while he was on the toilet (my flavour included the fact he was on the toilet so I knew he'd been pranked).
I had naïvely been assuming that it was an NRA role, but as RW pointed out it can be either. The existence of a vig or SK means that there is a good reason for the mafia to have a protective role and the small size of the mafia team supports the use of a 2 for 1 role vs two separate roles for the town.
All of this combined with Redfire's quick jump to my wagon following RW makes me fairly certain he's scum.

I was hoping to get the discussion about RW wrapped up first but here we are.

Why haven't you hinted at this before?
Anyway I'm still unwilling to hammer. Because this time I'm not scum so I'm open to hear you out.

Well given that he claimed a different role it wasn't a counterclaim type situation. It was only today that I realised it's not necessarily an NRA role, which I said I thought was significant. After I floated my SK theory and got an OMGUS vote from RW, Red was lightning quick putting another vote on there.
This isn't a CC situation where I'm certain, but I think it's likely Red is pacifist. Whether we have a vig or a SK, the pacifists need protection.
