I'm also beginning to wonder now if GR isn't scum, and his "Oh lawsy me; surely I'll be lynched soon" isn't some sort of reverse psychology act.

The exchange with Red seems wrong:

#167: "If it sounds good/solid I might be onboard."

Then after Red's reason #169, which while decent wasn't particularly groundbreaking - just a recap of what already was said, goes to vote flub #171 with a LAMIST "If we're wrong, then may GOG help us all" on top.

trentonlf: From what I’ve seen of flub’s play this game if he’s scum I will be totally surprised.
Anything in particular he wrote or gut feeling?
avatar
RedFireGaming: I'd lynch flub if anyone else is willing.
At the point where you wrote this, there were already two votes on flubb. So yes, someone else was willing. Did you miss that?

avatar
Microfish_1: I'll do a d-1 vote which I have not yet seen on this forum, despite people arguing over the pluses and minuses of said action.

Since I am not convinced of the guilt of anyone (except Joe, he ditched us for his live-action musical) enough to vote for them,

vote: no-lunch for now.
That is a very, very bad move. Almost bad enough to bump you to the top of the list. No-lynch on Day 1 always hurts town! Even a mis-lynch gives us information. If we don't lynch, we will start D-2 with as little information as we have now, unless the Cop gets lucky - and I don't want to base this game on pure luck.

avatar
RedFireGaming: Now that GR is joining me:
Vote Flub
ZFR already asked this, but it is important enough to emphasize. This reasoning is very scummy. If you are only willing to vote under the cover of others voting the same way, you probably don't really mean your vote and are just going along with any vote that might work.
But one thing is really strange: even if you want to go along with a vote that others vote too, why do you base your vote specifically on GR? And not on the others who voted flubb before GR? What's so special about GR for you?

avatar
Bookwyrm627: 1. Reading this, after reading your statemeout about ZFR-Pooka being town-town violence, leaves me thinking you're saying that either Micro or Flub are scum.

2. However, you still post Pooka as a third possibility. I'm having some trouble reconciling your reads here.

3. It doesn't help that your lack of availability is making me question the calibration of my Lift-Detect-O-Matic. There's a lack of the aggression that I'm used to seeing from you.
1. Yes.

2. Because my 'read' on Pooka is just based on feeling, I'm not discounting the fact that he still might be scum.

3. I'm aware of that. My detect-o-meter might be totally off and yes, with that little time I don't feel as invested as I usually do. That's probably what appears as less aggression than usual. I'm sorry about that, but I really can't invest more time.

Since ZFR already took the heat off flubb, I'll leave my vote there, for the moment. At least until Micro and Red have explained themselves. The posts quoted above make them both look quite scummy right now and if they don't have a good explanation, it might be best to lynch one of them.

I like the questions he’s asking and comments he’s making, I get a Town vibe from them.
The reason I waited for a response before voting Flub was to see if changing my vote would have had an effect. If no one but Lift and ZFR were willing to vote for Flub, I would have left the pressure on Trent to make a few more posts. GR's previous post points out that we are nearing the end of D1, and keep failing to build a consensus. I indicated my willingness to vote flub, and GR responded with a vote. As for responding to GR specifically, it was because he was the one who responded to my post in the first place.
I realize now that in recent posts I have grown more and more paranoid, and am now starting to doubt my own judgement. With the possibility of GR being mafia, and Trent's recent posts looking more town, I feel I'm too much of a risk to be voting right now. I'll try to keep my posts to questions and analysis for the next few days, and see if I can learn more about how this game works.

Be bold can be explained in three words: "Go for it".

Fix it yourself instead of just talking about it.

Don't be upset if your bold votes get reverted.

1) All that mess I told GR as playing advice? That applies to you too. Be active, go for it, hope for the best, and try to learn when it turns out you made a mistake. We often have some post-game discussion, and you can ask for honest feedback, uncluttered by the suspicion of "is that a scum ploy?" at that time.

2) We don't have a few more days to achieve a D1 lynch. Deadline is tomorrow. If the deadline hits, we get No Lynch by default.

No Lynching gives us a N3, but it does NOT give us a D4 unless we manage to block a kill or No Lynch again (in which case we've given up two lynches to get one lynch).

3) If you have questions, go ahead and ask. No time like the present. Unless the present is the last few minutes before the deadline strikes; that probably isn't the right time to be asking mechanical questions.
Thanks everyone.
Come to think of it, Flub and Trent both gave responses that satisfied me for the present, but only after getting pressured. So maybe what I need is to keep the "accuse anyone who I feel might be scum" part, but not be quite so fast to vote, since if they don't get a chance to respond, we learn much less.
I'll go back to my original vote seeing how I still find Pooka scummy

I have meant to ask you about something earlier before falling into my terrible night of sleep, so here it is. What's your response to trent's response to you voting him? I know you focused on flub instead, but still the whole exchange just dropped off there when it would be interesting to see how it developed.

trentonlf: From what I’ve seen of flub’s play this game if he’s scum I will be totally surprised. In my opinion lynching him would be a mistake. I’ve also changed my opinion some toward ZFR after seeing his responses and questions. I am going to change my vote to my second choice.

Unvote ZFR
Vote Pooka
Please explain why I am being voted. I'd like to hear it best from you.
Damn it. What to do? What to do? Flubb's wagon reversed. That's not going anywhere. We've only got one Day left and I'll be travelling tomorrow. Red's insecurity can be attributed to him being new. However, Micro isn't new anymore. This is not his first game. The no-lynch vote really reads quite LAMIST-y. And he was one of the three Cop/Doc drivers. And he hasn't replied yet to explain himself.
...
Well, for now:
unvote flubb
vote Microfish

I will try to look in tomorrow morning before hitting the road. In that way I could get in a vote change if necessary.

Unvote flub
This seems a bit odd.....if you feel the chap is lynch worthy then why waffle away from them being lynched?

At the rate we are currently at no one will be lynched before deadline....oh well, better hope the cop finds scum then.

Sooooo you Voted me because PookaMustard was your top choice.

And you Unvote me because you want to avoid a quickhammer.

Will you answer me this time how this is supposed to make sense??

This was in response to Lift's post just above it who mentioned we were running out of time. I was on Pooka's wagon from the very start, but it was going nowhere so I voted on the next person on the list.

My reply to Trent is: Why only start responding to ZFR's counterarguments when someone votes against you? I'd also like to see which responses caused Trent to switch from ZFR to Pooka.
