And me....

Hmmm why kill me? Edit delete all this theory, it'll have to goto the observer thread, my post may not contain any game relevant data, that sucks but I suppose I am dead talking from beyond the grave.

So long cruel world
Good morning everyone!! I made it!!!!

Ok, so that's 2 town down. Not exactly great, specially as I thought about things over the weekend and I was split between voting flub or scene for this new day.

I realized that I enjoy the game more quipping around, and I felt really stressed out before casting my last Friday/Saturday; so this time I'll try to come up with something early on.

First, I noticed my own vote for Joe is missing on the end of day count by Lift. I hope I didn't mess up the way I voted, unvoting and voting on the same line?

Second, as mentioned last night, my main targets were flub and scene, with scene "conveniently" dead, I'm reduced to one suspect. Who again "conveniently" was the first voter for our dead townie, Joe (may he rest in peace). So I'll go ahead and get the voting out of the way:

vote flubbucket

I will of course review this later, but I did want it off my head so I can joke with a somewhat clear conscience.

Also, I'm curious as to why scene was killed by mafia. The way he was acting was suspicious enough that I would have thought of starting a train on him today had he been alive, and he was even under modkill threat. Wouldn't mafia want to have a suicidal player like that on the enemy team as long as possible? Or are there complicated considerations in play I don't grasp? Or I claim not to grasp, anyway.

I suppose there's always the chance of an emotional kill. Such as Bler being mafia, not liking his playstyle, and just getting rid of the person who is ruining his enjoyment of the game. Or anyone else who shares Bler's feelings yet is less vocal about it.

Either way, I'm not very familiar with day 2 for obvious reasons, but I suppose it's now time to question the motives of the people who gave Joe the critical 3rd or 4th votes? I wonder which number I am. I voted for him on post 223, so that makes me... last one? Yay, that's not suspicious at all.

But I'll stop thinking here, I'm still supposed to be working.
Well, my first vote on Joe was based, like SPF, on metareads. Two of them: his "pick-bragging-rights-trio" and "Yes! I'm scum". Both were made in the previous game where he was scum, but not in the game where he was Town.

Like SPF, I was more interested in checking his reaction though. His reaction, unlike SPF's this time, actually made me lean towards him not being scum. I thought maybe neutral. So I switched my vote. Lift's vote count though made me realize I'm just 1 vote away from being co-lynched, so I switched back to Joe. If I knew End of Day would come so late, I'd have remained on SPF. But it was Friday, around midnight, and there was the risk someone might come in the morning, unvote Joe, and then Lift would end the day before anyone had a chance to react.

Vote Sirprimalform

Yesterday, after my vote-hopping, both SPF and HSL questioned it. Fair enough. SPF however later came with this ludicrous hypothesis.

ZFR: Indeed. Switching votes between the two players I find most suspicious. Who would do that???

SirPrimalform: Feels more like you're torn between pushing my wagon or seeing Joe's lynch as inevitable and wondering whether to bus him. If Joe gets lynched and flips scum then you'll look better if you were on his wagon...
"Ludicrous" here being a euphimism for "idiotic". Seriously, either SPF is a complete newbie or he thinks me a complete newbie. Since neither is true, what I see is a fake attempt at scumhunting and pretendig to be doing analysis.
I'd like to hear some more from Ix, who was third place on Joe's wagon and placed the vote 2 days before the EoD and promptly disappeared. This vote in hindsight seems to be the one that made Joe's a proper viable wagon.

If Joe had flipped scum I would stand by this, however with him flipping town you clearly weren't bussing him. I'm still not writing you off as possible scum but I'm aware of my tendency to tunnel. It's looking more like Joe was just LHF for some.

And I didn't even get to see your #56 avatar :( I hope you at least make one.

Or, and this was my first thought, someone who saw Lift asking for replacement so killed scene so this won't be necessary? But this is the kind of meta-reading I don't like doing, so I won't go there.

Personally, for me scene was neutral/town since my metareads on him were that he was more similar to his first town game than his second scum game. Also, I could see a town-scene genuinly thinking the cop reading him+bler was a good town strategy, but I just couldn't see mafia-scene going through all that route to make people think he's town. So maybe the NKers too thought he could be a town-read later.

Lift's vote count though made me realize I'm just 1 vote away from being co-lynched, so I switched back to Joe.

This whole post smells scummy.

So

Scummy.

Hang on, so your primary motivation for voting Joe over me was self preservation?

Of course. I'm town so lynching me is a bad idea. I still had doubts about Joe. Your wagon was at 0 votes. Day could end any minute in the morning before the US/Canada crowd had even time to log in. I'd vote Joe over you any day in that situation.

It still comes across like you were basically ok with any lynch as long as it wasn't you.

How many quote layers can the GOG forums handle?

Also, double heh.

No it doesn't. If I prefer a flu over three broken limbs it doesn't mean I'm ok with flu.

A lynch was happening, Lift made sure of that, and I know I'm town. I prefer a Joe or anyone else's lynch over mine. Hey, I'd have loved you to be on the receiving end, but it wasn't happening.
So apparently my Day 1 reads were pretty bad.

agentcarr16: supplementscene: 2

Scummy or neutral. If he's town, he's either badly confused or totally deluded, neither of which are good for town. No offense intended, I enjoy playing with a few stray cannonballs, it makes things more interesting.

JoeSapphire: 3

Leaning scum. Fake voting, para-voting*, and lurking.
Guess that means some of my town reads are also pretty bad.

I will do some rereads, but am at school right now, so that will have to wait.

Just want to make sure I'm understanding that analogy correctly - Joe's is flu and your lynch would be the three broken limbs?
A couple general items and then a couple specific items.

1. I took notes during D1 and I have very, very little on P1na, Ixam, and flub. Just throwing that out there.
2. It concerns me a bit that both cristi and bler town vouch for each other pretty hard. Do I think they are both scum? No unlikely. But perhaps their familiarity with each other's play makes it easy for one or the other to successfully fake town to the other. That said I don't like any of the above for lynch today yet.

avatar
bler144: No one besides agent/I is eyeballing scene that I can see. It's not even worth re-reading agent to see if it's worth weighing rejoining cristi at that point because no one else besides the two of us seemed to be eyeballing him at that point (ok, well, and scene, but that appears to be 100% OMGUS I want no part of), unless I missed it.
You missed it. I've been trying to get a straight answer out of agent for a few posts now.

muddysneakers: Agent, I still have no idea what you're talking about in regards to flub.

agentcarr16: It was this:
avatar
flubbucket: Vote: JoeSapphire

Why?? Because he's suspiciously delicious.
avatar
agentcarr16: I think he twigged to some scumtells from JoeSaphire before the rest of us. That vote seemed to be exactly what a Town flubbucket would do.
Agent, what are these Joe scumtells Flub saw that you are referring to?

Flub, what are these Joe scumtells Agent thought you made?

And if scene was still around:

avatar
supplementscene: I read you as a person who is naturally less aggressive in your playstyle and probably someone who doesn't tunnel as much as I and perhaps others do and probably has a more balanced. I don't know if anyone who's played with you before can confirm that. There seems to be a generosity to your posts too that could be mistaken for buddying. But not of that speaks on your alignment, which is ofcourse random.org

Has anyone played with a Christi who played Mafia? (I know some of you don't like 'meta'........)
Who was cristi possibly buddying? Anyone still alive want to take a stab at that?

Regardless I like flub or agent here.

I'll go with agent since his wagon might go somewhere.

No, you didn't mess anything up. Look, your vote is there. It totally always has been there! *wink, wink*
I actually had it in my vote tracking document, but for some reason didn't write it in the summary. Sorry!
