Is it 6 for the hammer and are we at 6?
For instance: Cop claims on Day One and doctor protects until all scum are lynched. Simplified but you get the idea.
So the revelation of you can't protect the same player 2 nights in a row is well known. Sorry.
flubbucket: So
Much
Sass. Exactly so if I tell Scum who I protected they guarantee a town kill by killing that Townee. If I don't, there's a chance I block
I was surprised too but who knows maybe ZFR missed it. Joe said he didn't read much of the last game so it's possible. Or maybe ZFR thinks it's game breaking or maybe he's allowing for the fact I stated I had 3 drinks in the same post. Or maybe he just thinks it's funny and I'm entertaining him too much to kill me. Who knows? I know let's ask ZFR. Except no because stop drawing attention to it.
But tell me, what do you see as more beneficial to town:
- the Doctor trying to keep scum in the dark in hope they prevent a/the N2 NK when the Doctor's already at L-2, and may not even live till N2 to take an action, not to mention that the Doctor may well protect one of the scum (remember, he doesn't know who the other townies are, and it has happened), or
- the Doctor coming clean so they have an actual chance of escaping the noose, and do their thing during N2?
Off to catch up. I know exactly what I can do as Doctor. Scum do not and revealing otherwise would be to the detriment of town. If you kill the good doctor it won't matter anyway but I'm still playing the best way I can this hand.
supplementscene: Listen my reason for not revealing who I protected is because if I can't protect the same player 2 nights in a row Scum will know whoever I protected last night can be lynched. This way there is a chance I block a nightkill. I thought that would be obvious but no it's Scene being irrational again.
..................
flubbucket: The established norm for doctor protection is the restriction of not protecting the same player twice in a row. To do otherwise is quite game breaking. ..................

JoeSapphire: hohoho very amusing. But you did draw something to my attention - is it not somewhat out-of-character for trent to use second-guessing the mod as an argument for lynch?
trentonlf: Exactly how am I second guessing the mod?? This is what supplementscene said “I'm on a final warning from ZFR after my error at the end of Day 1. I can't even double post apparently.” He states he’s on a final warning and can’t evem double post. I’m not second guessing the mod at all, I’m doubting what supplementscene claims. Thanks for the shade though, it’s been sunny out. supplementscene: Listen my reason for not revealing who I protected is because if I can't protect the same player 2 nights in a row Scum will know whoever I protected last night can be lynched. HypersomniacLive: It's not that you're being irrational again, it's that by now at the very latest you should know what you can and can't do as the Doctor you claim to be. No "if this" or "if that" and "buts" in arguments you could have easily picked up from what has been earlier mentioned and discussed. Do you see the difference? But tell me, what do you see as more beneficial to town:

That makes absolutely no sense unless you know who is Town and who isn’t. Only scum have the edge in knowing who’s probably Town. gogtrial34987: Same question to you as to Joe: Which particular subjects would you want to discuss in that extra time? Your interests not only feel opaque to me, you also seem to be chiefly responding to questions, and not so much pursuing anything yourself (that's my feeling based on what I remember - I apologize if rereading you will reveal that I'm wrong).
I think that's a fair assessment. I had no specific things I wanted to discuss, more that I just feel that extra discussion can only be beneficial. I promised no such things.
Ah, I did see that while reading EoD after the day had finished but forgot about it by the time D2 started.
More coy than usual. It was just the xylophone I was getting from Vitek's posts after subbing in. Of course it could just have been because he wasn't caught up.
I've not changed my read on Poppy/Vitek, but today's lynch has to be supplementscene after being caught lying (now multiple times). He was caught lying EoD yesterday and frankly I don't understand why he wasn't lynched then.
Ixamyakxim: It was announced here or signup - no cult - or at least not a cult that causes a player to switch sides. So as far as I'm concerned - scum is scum is scum, town is town is town.
I'm pretty sure the recruitment mechanic is the definition of a cult, masons aren't a cult. supplementscene: I'm on a final warning from ZFR after my error at the end of Day 1. I can't even double post apparently.
If you're going to lie about these sorts of things, it's very crucial that you don't contradict yourself in your very next post. You've double posted and haven't been modkilled. I'm very curious as to what your excuse for this is going to be.
There are 12 players remaining in the game. Is 6 more than half of 12?
No, attention is exactly what is needed here. By your own claims, you should have been modkilled by now.

You sid “If I tell Scum who I protected they guarantee a town kill by killing that Townee.“ You’re making no sense in your statements as the only person you should know is Town that you could have protected is flub and scum know he’s town already.

No 6 obviously isn't more than half of 12, I was unaware of how the numbers worked. I thought as we lost a player it'd go down by 1.

I also know I'm town. Can I protect myself, Scum don't know. Did I protect myself? Scum don't know And as such I've outmanouvered them. I'm actually suspicious of people like you Trent who should be smart enough to figure that out.

Well, scum's scum, town's town, but Masons aren't a cult. The Mason role is even included among the Town roles on the C9++ mafia wiki page. Hmm...
Ixamyakxim: [...] As far as the roleblock - I was expecting a SK, I was expecting 2 NK and when there was only one... For now I'm not going to assume SK like I was before so I won't assume a failed NK. But like you, I'm not also going to totally write off the SK (like Joe said it could be around a 3 / 7 chance to have one). I'm just not going to speculate too much more on it unless we start seeing a night or two of wild numbers of kills.
My question isn't related to your expectation of two NKs, that part has already been clarified. My question is what made you think we had only one NK because the second one was specifically roleblocked when you thought a SK in play was a certainty. It takes 7, and you're currently at L-2, i.e. 5 votes.
As opposed to killing the bad Doctor?
But seriously, this cherry picking people's posts, and selectively responding to keep at your argument, isn't helping your case.
I have no doubt that you're doing your best. Doesn't mean that you're not scum, though.
Are you going down the path I've been waiting since D2 started to see you go? But there's a problem with this in relation to the other arguments you've made earlier; see trentonlf's post #471.
The only discussion you've been involved in so far is beating on the dead horse, with points that have been made already a few times by others. Is that what you mean with the above?
Did I say you did? That doesn't mean that you couldn't make an effort, if you're town like you undoubtedly will claim to be.
*sigh*
Assume supplementscene lynched.
*holds breath to see who all will race to the hammer when the time comes*

Fair point, although I was writing as I went so in some cases I was making the same points before I got to their post. HypersomniacLive: Did I say you did? That doesn't mean that you couldn't make an effort, if you're town like you undoubtedly will claim to be.
Well let's see, ok. Why did you hope off scene's wagon at the last second? Given that he'd seemingly posted his PM, he was a dead man walking. He was either about to be modkilled, or should have been lynched for lying so what good does stalling the wagon do? HypersomniacLive: *sigh*
Assume supplementscene lynched.

Speaking of which, I'm not going to be around for the deadline again if it's at the same time. Assume supplementscene lynched.
*holds breath to see who all will race to the hammer when the time comes*
Now what?
In fact, I don't think I'm going to be available for the deadline even if it's later because I have a different job that evening and I doubt there'll be much of a gap at all. I guess it doesn't matter too much since I can pretty safely leave my vote on scene.
