@the person above me; Are you even following what others say about roles and actions that happened?

Is this just act?

Vitek: Speaking of distancing, did you know that on Day 1 mchack (mafia in case you forgot) addressed deadbot/adalia exactly 0 times and SPF not once directly and only time he mentioned him was to say hi super lurkiness is still better than Lift's redundant posts.
I hate to rain on your parade, but mchack actually mentioned deadbolt a number of times (mainly speaking about lynching him or him subbing out because of lurkiness) even if he never directly addressed him, which to be fair considering the number and content of my predecessors posts isn't really surprising..

As for me, he directly addressed me in a quite substantial post D2 when we were both more available as neither of us were around for the end of D1 (if I remember correctly anyway).

So this is really starting to feel like a deliberate campaign of misdirection rather than just a tunnelling townie who's got it wrong.

Where? I see one post after deadbot was already being subbed out.

I focused on quotes mostly because:
a) They are direct interactions and that's something I believe mafia can be much more uncomfortable toward their buddies than just mention of their name while talking to others.
2: It is not perfect but it was just easier and faster to search that.
III. I make the rules of my own inquiries.

Yeah I said that.
The first part was about D1 and there was no interaction there.
The other one was for D2 and I said "Adalia got quote and other mention from him too."

I realise I would have to do it other way around as well to make it more accurate but I don't have time for that now as it is past midnight already and I did only what I had strength for.

I think there were at least three posts.. I'll do the search again tomorrow and link to them.

So you just did what would make me look the worst?
Got you.

SirPrimalform: Vitek - bumped down by lift, but I'm still not sure
avatar
Lifthrasil: Well, at least I broke your tunnel vision. That's something, I guess, if you are town. :-)
Its funny. I just realized something: your weak attack on Vitek actually helped convince me that Vitek isn't scummy. That's not a good basis to town- (or neutral-) read someone. I should do a re-read of both you and Vitek. But I don't have any time. Sorry. Im just quickly here between two meetings. I'll look in in the late evening.

Meanwhile lynch me if you must. We can afford an error, actually, thanks to having already eliminated one scum. Still, I would prefer to lynch scum over sacrificing myself.

CU later
That is not a good way to look at it. If you are town and we mislynch today then tomorrow we are at a mislynch and lose (unless scum can be stopped tonight). So if you are town you should be kicking and screaming to stay alive because a mislynch and lose situation is not one we want to be in.

Hunter65536: Good example about your other game, I haven't played much so I wasn't sure if it was possible scenario. Could you point me to post by yogs about being roleblocked? I think I missed it.
avatar
Vitek: Here.
I wonder how well you read the game as it was one of the main topics for D2.
Hmm, I did mess up there. Read d2 backwards first before deciding to go to start of d1. When I completed d1 I skipped straight to end.

Sometimes the person is just out having a good time, doesn't always have to be a role blocker. I guess Occam's razor kind of thing.

avatar
Lifthrasil: Yes, one role-blocker on each side is unusual, but not 'a little off' in the sense that it can't be true. Yogs having been a RB is confirmed by the mod. And if you believe trent being the cop, you should also believe that he has been blocked. Yogs, being confirmed town now, surely didn't block trent. That would only be a reasonable assumption if yogs had been a jailer who tried keeping trent safe. But according to his flip, he just puts his target to sleep and doesn't protect it. So there must be annother role-blocker. Who blocked the quasi-confirmed cop and therefore is scum.

2. a Traitor usually doesn't know who the scum members are. So no. In any case it's weird that you try to throw shade at trent ... and further below mention him as your towniest read.

About your post #538: yes, going back over mchack's posts I can see where the impression comes from. He really never pushed me. But the same can be said about Sage, where he alternated between moderately supporting her and suspecting her just for show without actually pushing (apart from asking for her to be replaced). So, by your own reasoning Sage looks like mchack's buddy. Which would make you scum ... which, thinking about it, does fit quite well! Side note: post 215, which you quote, was aimed at ZFR, I think. Not primarily at me.
Also about roleblock, see above this quote. All I am saying is that there are more possibilities out there.

My theory was based on this where it says they may know identities of mafia team.

Also sage wasn't around as much as you were so the number of possible interactions is much lower to begin with.

avatar
Lifthrasil: Hunter - sure, that will appear OMGUS. But the way how he first tried to throw doubt at trent looked scummy. Then, when that didn't work, he rowed back and joined the consensus that trent is town. To me that looks like scum testing whether trent's 'confirmed town' status can't be shaken up a bit. Understandable, since a confirmed cop is about the most dangerous thing for scum that there is.
For that to happen, there has to be someone (probably a bunch of people) who refute me and then I make next post "joining the consensus" as you state it. That wasn't how it was though, I posted my theory and then posted my reads. The only other post was trent's in between and iirc he was the only one online at that time. Seems like a misrepresentation to me.
avatar
supplementscene: I think SPF has had a strange approach to the game.
I think that's safe to say. It's NAI though.

avatar
Lifthrasil: First lurking, then making a bogus case against Vitek, then latching on to trent's suspicion. All things that would fit for scum.
You have no particular reason to believe me, but I did already explain that the first day pretty much coincided with my first week back at work. I was pretty much dead on my feet last week and when I got home all I wanted to do was sleep.

Anyway, I'm actually not latching on to trent's suspicion but rather the way you've repeatedly misrepresented me to the point where the person I was attacking came to my defence.

In fact, yeah:

adaliabooks: So you just did what would make me look the worst?
Got you.
What gives you that impression? Taht in ended up not in your favour?

I wanted to do something and thought going through flipped mafia's interactions with people could provide some insight.
I had no idea who he talked to before I did it so I had no idea what results it will yield.
It ended up this way and I reported it.
If it ended up the other way with him not talking to yog and results all over the place and draw other conclusions but guess what? It didn't.
If police investigate 2 suspects and find one at home with bloody hands, dirty and knife in hand and the other one is reading book and have perfect alibi, are they making the first one look worse because they are pointing out his knife and blood?
I am not saying this is equivalent of being caught bloody-handed, just that I reported on what I found and you are calling it smear campaign.

Also misdirection from what, mr. OMGUS? SPF's lynch which I support as well? Or from sitting around and doing nothing?

I see.

But I have no reason to not believe trent and I didn't have one even before his claim so I don't think I am buying this.
Imagine this, ZFR, who died D1 has still the most posts of all people.
Second overall and first of living players is SPF. Yeah, SPF, who himself admitted to barely playing D1 has made more posts than any of us who remain.
Sure, many of them are one-liners and quantity does not outweighs quality but it is amusing anyway.

Vitek: Also misdirection from what, mr. OMGUS? SPF's lynch which I support as well? Or from sitting around and doing nothing?
That should have said misrepresentation, I've only just noticed that it doesn't, sorry.

I think one of Lift or SPF is probably scum. Their current interactions suggest something more than T v T and judging on past behaviour in game they are both possible candidates.
Only problem for me is I'm not 100% sure which one now... SPF is coming off a little more townie, and with trent (the closest thing we have to confirmed town) suspecting and voting Lift I'm happy to shift my vote there.

The one warning ping I'm getting is Hunter voting for Lift as he is a strong candidate for the remaining scum and bussing his buddy at this juncture would seem unlikely.
Plus the possibility of SPF being a roleblocker based on his soft claiming Pikachu makes it quite likely he could be scum...

I will vote for either of them to secure a lynch but I think SPF and Hunter is still looking a little more likely as a scenario to me than Lift + ?

Why Hunter?
For his or Sage's play?

Why would Pikachu equal RB?

Did you get any flavour for your RB?

He's still trying to throw doubt on trent to a degree which I find odd. Plus it's process of elimination, if SPF isn't scum and Lift is, trent certainly isn't his buddy (even if there was a slim chance he was scum), I don't actually believe you are scum despite your campaign against me and I don't see supplement as scum. I know I'm not so that only really leaves Hunter and flub as possible buddies and Hunter pings me worse than flub does.

Electric Pokémon practically all have paralyzing attacks of some kind. Paralyze stops you acting, like sleep (which would be the result of yogs' Sing attack) so would make a good roleblocker flavour.
And SPF literally used one of those attacks as his vote against lift (Thunderwave) which doesn't necessarily mean much but I can't shake the feeling he's our remaining roleblocker.

Also I remember SirPrimalform rolling "town" roleblocker last game.....what are the odds??

Vote: SirPrimalform
SPF is at L-1 unless I missed something (he was at 3 votes last votecount, since then I changed my vote and 2 more were added).

Posting this in case someone now appears, votes SPF, and will later claim they were not aware he is at L-1 and it was all accident.
