SirPrimalform: There's a reason many online mafia games give the players names/flavour as well as roles and there's a reason name/flavour cops exist. Names and flavour are meant to be used, but yes I agree that the rule about not quoting the PM should be strictly enforced (because it can be used to break the game in a "this does/doesn't sounds like the writing of the mod" way).

I am of the opinion that if flavour is there then it can and should be discussed, just not in a game breaking way (which I didn't even come close to).
good point on the flavour cop, I actually didn't consider that. he'd be useless if he can't discuss what he learned.

Where do you draw the line though? So no quoting pm, but claiming the pokemon is ok? how about pokemon massclaim? where is the difference if we just push everyone to L-1 and make them claim their pokemon then?

It's no different from claiming name and role in any other game. Yes, forcing everyone to claim early on is definitely a good way to break the game, but I don't think anyone's proposing that.

Stating your name and role wouldn't (IMO) be considered quoting. It's when you start using the exact phraseology from your PM that it becomes a problem. It's impossible to paraphrase a name thus it's exempt from "no quoting".

I have not the slightest Idea how to combat something like that. *shrug*

I 100% agree, and that's why I am so avid against PM talk. Been fun playing with you this game, I hope you find time to play more in the future :)

@Joe if this looks like it's going where it probably is should we bring the vote deadline forward once 7 players agree?

Mchack is scum . I meditated on him last night, I am Dorcas the psyduck, and he is on team Killers. At the end of the day yesterday when he voted ZFR the first thing that popped into my head was that his vote felt off and scummy. It was anything blatant on his vote, but I went with my gut on it and hit pay dirt. I was holding off on revealing right away so I could see how he behaved today, but he is doing just like yesterday and appearing as helpful as possible while not actually pushing anything. I would recommend whoever is town goes back and looks at his reads on people yesterday and today and for me I see a few people I would move up on the town ladder (unless he was distancing himself this early)

I was torn on whether I should reveal today or not so I could be sure to get at least another read in. But, there's no guarantee I will live out the night and then my scum find dies with me and there's no guarantee I will find another scum with another chance to meditate. Also, we are getting nowhere fast at the moment and the deadline is only a couple of days away.
Big revelation. Genuine info or scum bluffing? We'll find out soon.

it was a pleasure, just a shame I had so little time the last few days. Anyway, I hope so, too. Glad the Hosting list filled up a bit again. :)

The deadline is just a deadline, the lynch happens pretty much as soon as consensus is reached. I mean the actual lynch is dependent on Joe's availability, but it's set in stone as soon as a consensus is reached.
