Joe, it is okay to google players, find their real names and where they live, travel over there and stalk them to either find more about them so I can use it against them or more simply watch them while they log to play to find out what role they have?
Feel free to say no but it would really help me.

To lynch her would be wasting our lynch, though, and it is exactly what I would call low-hanging fruit.
It gives us no information whatsoever and we'd be basically doing mods work at expense of 1 Day.
Sure, she may flip mafia, but it wil be mostly just random chance of hit.
Honestly it was mostly just boredom as no one was posting yesterday and Sage was the most viable lynch.

Of course now that I haven't got a lot of time today you're all posting again, but I can only grab a little time today to post as I have a lot on.

Interesting that you question my voting motives and then completely: 1) misrepresent my response 2) Ignore my change in vote and my statement that Sage simply isn't playing rather than lurking.

I didn't say I was voting Sage because she had the most votes. I said I was voting Sage because I believed incorrectly that she didn't have any votes. And I said I wasn't satisfied with her explanation for not voting. I said we needed to have a debate over the lurking posters. As another poster noted it should at least drag them to the table as it has with SPF.

Now is this deliberate lying and misreprestation or a mere oversight Vitek?

This did make me LOL and I felt like I was doing that when I googled Sage. I wanted to see if I could find out if she'd logged into GOG but in actual fact she uses the same username for everything on the internet. Felt completely like a stalker. But I can confirm she hasn't been on twitter for 3 years, she has a kitten, a rottweiler, has been a honda civic owner but has seemingly upgraded to a Mustang.

Now that SirPf actually started a bit of a case (albeit apparently a silly one) by flavor, I want to be on record saying that I fully support yogs view on not quoting anything from your pm other than paraphrasing your role.
(like vanilla or lover or whatever)

Because let's assume this behaviour is continued and we are forced by someone to all claim our pokemon later and then we go lynching whoever's isn't quite fitting some arbitrary pattern (like two of the electric type or some such) then the game is either seriously damaged because random people get lynched or completely broken. Only depending on any mistake or easter egg the Mod may have put in our pms.
Either way the game won't be fun any more and just end in tears or angered players.

So I'm proposing that we treat flavor as just that and only use it for colorfull attacks and fun and games but not use it to make cases against other players or make them claim their flavor.

(Also that we lynch SirP for trying to break the game :P *joking* the above is heartfelt though, since I already was in a game that broke apart because of stuff like that and it isn't fun.)

That comparison doesn't mean that he is town. You're right, it's not transferrable enough for that and I've never seen him play scum or Mafia. I only pointed that similarity out to say that his questions and playstyle don't make him scum. So he's neutral for me so far. And since there are better targets, I wouldn't want to lynch Scene today.

Better targets would IMO still be: SPF or yogs. Maybe adalia. Maybe Sage ... but I'm a bit torn on that. If she really has no internet access and gets replaced, then we really don't have much to go on. Her absence is then for technical and not for scummy reasons. And she wasn't present enough to be readable otherwise. If we can't agree on SPF or yogs or adalia, I could also be convinced to lynch flubb. I always have the impression that he is scummy. But that also means that my feeling now, that he is scummy again, doesn't mean much.

There's a reason many online mafia games give the players names/flavour as well as roles and there's a reason name/flavour cops exist. Names and flavour are meant to be used, but yes I agree that the rule about not quoting the PM should be strictly enforced (because it can be used to break the game in a "this does/doesn't sounds like the writing of the mod" way).

I am of the opinion that if flavour is there then it can and should be discussed, just not in a game breaking way (which I didn't even come close to).

Mchack is scum . I meditated on him last night, I am Dorcas the psyduck, and he is on team Killers. At the end of the day yesterday when he voted ZFR the first thing that popped into my head was that his vote felt off and scummy. It was anything blatant on his vote, but I went with my gut on it and hit pay dirt. I was holding off on revealing right away so I could see how he behaved today, but he is doing just like yesterday and appearing as helpful as possible while not actually pushing anything. I would recommend whoever is town goes back and looks at his reads on people yesterday and today and for me I see a few people I would move up on the town ladder (unless he was distancing himself this early)

I was torn on whether I should reveal today or not so I could be sure to get at least another read in. But, there's no guarantee I will live out the night and then my scum find dies with me and there's no guarantee I will find another scum with another chance to meditate. Also, we are getting nowhere fast at the moment and the deadline is only a couple of days away.
