I have found you a little suspicious but nothing really vote worthy, I'll probably do a reread on you ('cause, you know, no one is saying anything and rereads are quite easy this game) to clarify or clear up my suspicions when I have a chance.

All through this game I've been watching Vitek laying the groundwork (in a breadcrumby sort of way) for a claim later on, one that I have a reasonable cause to think is false. However, after I started focusing on him today it would appear that he's stopped so he can deny it. I probably should have sat on this longer and let him dig a deeper hole, but never mind.

You say you are reasonably sure it's false, which would mean you either know what Pokemon he is (not electric type) or you are an electric type that you believe he is going to claim (hard to see considering there are quite a few, even if we are sticking with just first gen [which may or may not be the case]).

For a moment I wondered if we only had one Pokemon of each type in the game, but with only twelve players we'd be three types short for that too work, so there is no reason to believe each type is unique..

Look at how lying turned out for ZFR. So I say if you are town, your soft-claim was bad play. But I can see reasons for you to reveal a block if you are scum. If you are scum and you were blocked, the blocking was done by some townie. Perhaps you hope that by being honest about it, whoever it was will reconsider in the next night and not block you again. 'Yogs was honest, so he must be town'. Is that what you are going for? Or did you even hope that whoever blocked you would come out and say: 'Yep, that was me. My bad.' ? ... Or you are town with a super-useless PR and you want to draw the NK. But in that case you just told scum that that might be the case.


@SPF: Really? Your reason for suspecting Vitek is, that you were under the impression that Vitek was preparing a Pikachu claim? While you have information that he can't be Pikachu. ... But why would any scum false-claim the single most well known Pokemon that is almost sure to be in the game? Any scum doing so could be almost sure that he would be counter-claimed. Also, what would scum-Vitek gain by claiming Pikachu? We don't have any guarantee that flavour-Pokemon-types are connected to alignment. A Pikachu could be Mafia and a Meowth could be town. Who knows. At least I would randomize the alignments if I were a mod, like it was done in the Galactica game.

Please enlighten someone who has absolutely no clue about Pokemon, why would a pikachu matter?? Is it some sore of special Pokemon? And what would Vitek claiming it mean?
