Are you sure it's a valid loophole? Could you, uh, just get off your seat for a second, to... er.. better investigate this matter?

Heh, the BSG wiki page has this snippet from a review that kinda sums up my feelings about the series:
"There was a time, not long ago, when BSG was considered the gold standard for science fiction television. Tense, multilayered, complicated, and filled with morally gray characters — it was all the things we always clamor for but seldom get. The show stumbled somewhat in its third season, with the [spoiler]. But it didn't actually become raw suckage until [major spoiler], and then [major spoiler] for no reason. The writers have basically admitted they had no plan for [same spoilers] — they just thought it would be a cool thing to do, and they would figure out the reasons later. And thus, we ended up with a year of [spoiler] Interrupted, constantly shouting "You're going the wrong way!" and playing the piano while talking about her daddy."

I had forgotten how exciting all of this is...! I'm on the edge of my DNA-locked pins and needles seat! I can fly this Viper, let me at 'em!
And that review is pretty much EXACTLY how I feel, having got lost and uncomfortable halfway through season 3... Sure recipe for disaster when the writers admit "We don't really have a long game plan for this actually."
Wait, I missed that, our sign-up numbers affect our roles? Nice touch! :D

I'm new to BSG. I watched the miniseries...enjoyed it. Now partway through season one. Should I stop after season 2?

The thing is, if one abandons it, you will get very unfinished product without any closure at all.
I absolutely loved the miniseries. It was one of the best sci-fi on TV I ever saw. I then liked the season 1 a lot and most of the season 2 was good ride with its ups and downs but still enjoyable. But near the end of S2 it started to go awry and IMO the season 3 was absolute mess that ruined all previous atmosphere and broke the world they built previously for me. What they did to Cylons was a disgrace and I had big trouble finishing the series.
Still there are people who liked it (they are called madmen) so it is not like it is assured you won't enjoy it.
@Joe; What connection does Skyrim helmet have to this mafia game?

Thanks. :D I haven't had any word from Damnation, so I've asked zeogold if he wants the spot. I'm glad to see people are enthusiastic about the game, I'm looking forward to things starting. :)

Yeah, I guess the dice rolls were done beforehand.
If you have Barefoot essentials installed you can get a nice high-res look at it! You can also stare into the eyes of "the Busey".

Those spots of snow in the background are quite a nice touch and good reference to Skyrim, I admit that. ;-)
