I can honestly say I'm town and Loyalist is not in my PM. Is the word loyal yes, but then again why play the PM game when it's supposed to be a mafia game.

I don't see how that provides any kind of proof of anything.

and two, perhaps more importantly:
2) How do you know scum PMs don't also use that word to refer to the town faction?

For all we know Bookwyrm's PM tells him to eliminate all the loyalists so he can achieve his goal, so in his first post he used the word to describe himself as town.
For all we know your PM does something similar and you decided to take a risk and buy yourself some town points.

For know my repeated rereads has Bookwyrm as town leaning for me, but I don't believe this exonerates him as comfirmed town in any way.

As for a vote, I'm still not really sure. I think our scum may be lurking in the shadows letting town destroy itself.. I'll be having a proper look later to see who has sat out this whole discussion and if that leads me anywhere.

While I agree in general, I don't think this 'tell' is quite up to snuff.

We have 4 reasonable scenarios:
1) Bookwyrm627 is town, and used a word from his PM. Only pro-town players noticed the word (from their PM, or common sense).
2) Bookwyrm627 is town, and used a word from his PM. Anyone could have noticed the word (from their PM, or common sense).
3) Bookwyrm627 is scum, and used a word from his PM. Only pro-town players noticed the word (from their PM, or common sense).
4) Bookwyrm627 is scum, and used a word from his PM. Anyone could have noticed the word (from their PM, or common sense).

I don't think it could be either 1) or 3), because I think it was too obvious to be missed. The word was in the very first post of the game, in it's own sentence apart from the rest, and the post was very short.

That leaves 2) and 4), which I think are equally likely, all else equal. However, from the rest of his posting, I have Bookwyrm627 as leaning town.

I'm on board with this.

In fact, I find the whole "guess the content of Mod PM" so metagaming and not in the spirit of the game that I'm going to

Upon closer inspection no one really sat out the last discussion, bar Twilight (who said they are away) and Sage, who as yet doesn't come across as scummy to me.

While I don't really like how dedo want about it, or agree with his conclusions over the whole Bookwyrm thing I don't really see him as scum. trent is scummy(ish) but again not leaning too far that way. And I'm not seeing much from anyone else that isn't just their normal behaviour and/or normal behaviour in general.

Except for my top two scummiest players Krypsyn and Ix. Both are fairly random in behaviour and voting. I'd say I'd be happy to vote on either if it comes down to it, but I'm not ready to start a proper wagon on either of them yet as I'm not sure we're done for the day yet...

Not very interesting at all. Went back and checked my PM. The word "loyalist" isn't itself there, but the word "loyal" is and it appears to be a basic template introduction to PMs. Nothing to indicate it is faction specific. Scum PM may very well begin with the name introduction and simply have different names up to a certain point where the role explanation beings.

Also, I "usually push aggressively" is a pile of crap argument. Should I remind you of the Space Opera game? Go and re-read the beginning of that.

Unless I suddenly went wipe-mode with the memory of the Werewolf game number and was mistaken all these months about it, I'm fairly certain it's 22.
