Fix this GOG, it's like this for nearly all of your games.

Yeah I have been wondering this for a while, why is GOG more expensive then steam, I have assumed its due to how shitty the exchange between the Euro and Canadian Dollar are.

News Flash: GOG is overpriced in almost all Asia.
So if you have complain then either save more and buy less OR wait for your turn.

Actually it's because the steam prices were set at the fixed 1$ = 1.1CAD rate or whatever it was in the past that publishers used. On the other hand GOG uses a real exchange rate which fluctuates. So now with the strong USD, CAD prices went up.
Yeah, probably. Wait for sales.

Do you get money back as part of the "fair price policy" though?

And the flip side of this is, that should the Canadian dollar get stronger (or the US dollars gets weaker), you will get cheaper prices on GOG than on Steam. In addition to it being DRM-free.

The fair price policy refunds you if your GOG regional price is higher than the US GOG price, assuming it's different. It has nothing to do with how the prices compare to Steam.

I know but I guess I was curious how much the o.p. might get back. (guess I can do the math myself on that, thanks to Google)

As others have mentioned, GOG uses actual exchange rates.

I know you can’t really do anything about that, but just get better policies and your currency will go up and your prices will go down. :P

Hey it's not our fault our dollar's in the gutter. And while the OP means well, I doubt that a complete overhaul of the current globalized capitalist economic system is something GOG can achieve anytime soon*. I'm sure someone will think of a creative way to blame it on either or Obama or Trudeau. Or heck, why not both?

*That being said, I have more hopes for GOG overhauling the world's economic system than them actually getting the rights to sell No One Lives Forever.
