Has GOG been hacked or what? In last few days my main screen has shown up in some foreign language.
Whats up with that?

Maybe you are browsing in your browser's private mode or using a VPN? As soon as you log in, the site should revert to your language.

Why should that matter I live in Canada and English is the language for North America. Has GOG moved to Asia ?
I don't use a VPN, I will check but do not believe I'm using private mode in browser.

I almost always delete my browser cookies and yet GOG occasionally decides that I live in Germany or in Poland for no reason, because I have static IP and even whatsmyip like websites know my country and my city. I really don't understand how exactly GOG analyze user's location, maybe it's a random guess between the ads from different websites, however I don't visit German or Polish sites.
This happens occasionally. Every so often I end up with the site in German. Sometimes it solves on its own, if not use the usual fix for when location gets messed up, put something in cart and go to checkout, which should force it to check your location again. Then just clear cart (if you didn't actually want to buy something then, of course) and get back to what you were doing.

I've been dealing with this for 6 months. Not sure if its something to do with Edge browser. But yeah, page refresh will fix it before login.
It's a fun game, usually land in Germany. Made it to France once, that was nice.:)
Ah yes, the famous language hacker ploy.

Step 1: Breach website security
Step 2: Change unsuspecting user's language settings
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit

Its a cookie bug, it happens on occasion, just log out, clear your cookies and log back in
or manually change your language back to normal at the bottom of the page
This happens all the time for me. I have had all the different locations at least twice now.

Same here. Though I also have to say it got worse after I tried all available languages.
(I took screenshots lately, to show differences between the various main pages of the shop: https://www.gog.com/upload/forum/2019/10/7d90397de277babfc3281a5d1065b87c321d6d3d.jpg)

Before that, I only got the French and Polish page once in a while.
I've had this happening to me for at least four years now across multiple PCs, living locations in the US, and even when my cookies are cleared. It only lasts until I log in and/or browse into the forums, but almost every time I'm guaranteed the website will be in a different language.

I think it's just a bug with GOG. I'm not sure how or why this happens, it just happens.

You can also simply change the language at the bottom of the page.
