I noticed a bunch of games that have "tpp" listed as a genre (http://www.gog.com/gamecard/messiah for example) and I could not figure out what TPP stands for? Is there a list with all the different genres they categorize the games on the site somewhere?

I think it's Third Person Perspective. Whish they offered this with all the games. But a legened would be nice so we don't have to guess.
That's a weird way to classify a game. TPP is a perspective, not a genre. TPP can run the gamut from World of Warcraft to Tomb Raider to Syberia.

Speaking of Third Person Perspective:

Instead of TPP, why not call it Third Person Perspective? Creating yet another acronym that we don't need and didn't ask for is pure idiocy.

Look, the CEOs at the GOG HQ gave to AOK to TPP because the VP of GOG PR thought the GOG URL looked B - A - D.

Agreed, but at the same time, nor are "action" or "building". Both FPP and TPP seems to be used only (or mostly?) when they couldn't think of a better sub-category to place the game in and they need three (no more, no less). The Witcher is "Role-playing - Action - Fantasy" though TPP could fit in there as well if GOG had more than three slots for the genre classification, while System Shock 2 is "Role-playing - FPP - Sci-fi" and Myst is "Adventure - FPP - Puzzle".
I thought it was "Third Person Platformer"?

Oh... fuck!

sedryntyros, you... I have nothing nice to say to you at the moment. Do look at the last post date before posting, and if the thread is more than a couple months old, it's most likely better to start a new one than dig it up again. Yes, I should have looked at the date before replying to a two-year-old post in a newly posted-in thread, but that shouldn't have been an issue to begin with.

Eh ... it's still unbelievably stupid.

Good Morning Vietnam, actually (given that the thread was necroed again, I though I might just as well post this).
