IAmSinistar: Yes, I requested the keys yesterday. :)
Neat! At least GOG continues supporting this.
The list is progressing greatly! I only need confirmation regarding the two ArmA games (Gold Edition and Cold War Assault) and any possibility that one of the games in my list has obsolete keys (any game that had its multiplayer servers shut down. That doesn't necessarily mean that a key is useless, though; the Neverwinter Nights games still require separate keys even for LAN play. It would help to narrow down the list of games, though).

The ArmA keys aren't useless or obsolete, since you should be able to activate them on Steam. I know that was the case with ArmA 2, and the same should hold true for the other 2 ArmA games, but I haven't bothered asking for said keys yet.

I know that's the case with Combined Operations, but the other two?

Ah, it's seems that no. I recall that they said they have a method to preserve multiplayer, and I thought it was the same method (steam redemption), but seems not. Still, it would be best if someone verifies it.

IAmSinistar: I requested multiplay keys from Support for all four Spellforce titles. Here's the email I got back:

Please save the attached file onto your computer, extract it, and run the appropriate .REG file (the one suited for your operating system: 32 or 64 bit), by double-clicking it.
This file will modify your system registry, and apply the serial key.

Attached to the email are two ZIP files, one named SpellforcePlatinum_64bit_[my]_[email]_com.zip, and one named Spellforce2_SW_32bit_[my]_[email]_com.zip. In spite of the names, each ZIP contains both 32-bit and 64-bit registry files. The bracketed parts of the name are redacted, they actually correspond to my email address as [my]@[email].com.
that's exactly what i did in the past , but since they were removed from the catalog i wasn't sure the support would still provide them.

I guess it's also not needed for Lan, right?

Hmmm.... I really would like to see it confirmed by other users. I'm also not sure about the case of the SpellForce games. According to its game-specific forum, the first one doesn't seem to have any use anymore, while the second one demands it for LAN.

for Spellforce 2 Shadow wars :

http://forum.spellforce.com/showthread.php?t=66075

For Spellforce 1 couldn't find anything

On Steam , Spellfforce 2 GOLD & Spellforce Platinium are no more considered MP games (maybe related to the shut down of Gamespy servers) -> hey don't look me like this i try to find infos where i could ^^

But still , there are 3rd party tools (see below) as workaround, so i guess those keys may still have a use.

For Arma Gold ,> it seems on Steam there are no more server avaible, only luck are some tools like Hamachi / Gameranger & such. So the key should be a mandatory So with the gog version it's the same story for the moment..

More infos , from others users won't hurt ;)

I've got a question to owners of Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary Edition. Do you need the serial number, even for LAN play? I'm asking as GOG's game page says the following: "Multiplayer notice: The game's multiplayer servers have been taken offline, however, multiplayer over LAN is still available."
Bumping my question above.
The GOGmix is now live! OK, it was actually live earlier, but now it's complete. At least, that's what I think and I need your help here! If I made any mistake or omission, help me fix it.

Good work! Voted up for usefulness.
