Why would I put my GOG games into the Steam Library? Why not just load another OS like Ubuntu or Windows 10? I'd rather hear about those solutions then going through the Steam Ecosystem? Can anyone give me some of those results as I'd love to see them.
Skyrim - Anniversary Edition
1.) installed via Heroic Launcher -> added to Steam library
2.) Proton -7.0rc6-GE-1 (any other Version left me without voice output)
3.) High Settings with slightly reduced fade distance
4.) 50 hz / 50 fps (mostly stable, with some hicsups due to missing shader cache)
King of Seas
1.) installed via Heroic Launcher -> added to Steam library
2.) GE-Proton7-47
3.) Max Settings
4.) 60 hz / 60 fps (stable)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kynseed
1.) installed via Heroic Launcher -> added to Steam library
2.) GE-Proton7-47
3.) Max Settings
4.) 60 hz / 60 fps (stable) -> scrolling stuttered for me if I capped the refresh/framerate

This thread is about the Steam Deck, not the Steam client itself.

Steam Deck runs a Linux-based OS. You can switch to desktop and install anything that runs on Linux. Adding the game to Steam just lets you skip the desktop and launch the game from the main UI.

I guess point here is to easily run games in Proton that way.
All games are run using Cryobyte33's tools and a 4GB VRAM buffer unless otherwise noted.

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky
1.) Installed Galaxy through Steam, Run through Galaxy through Steam using the same prefix folder as Galaxy.
1.) Installed with Heroic Launcher, added to Steam as non-Steam game.
2.) GEProton7-43
3.) Default Settings, Run DX8 exe (add new exe in Galaxy, select the non DX9 one, make it default), install protontricks, install quartz and Lavfilters (to get videos runnnig properly)
4.) performs at 40-50 stably, 60 if you don't mind the occasional slowdown.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------

Asterigos: Curse of the Stars
1.) Installed Galaxy through Steam, Run through Galaxy through Steam using the same prefix folder as Galaxy.
1.) Installed with Heroic Launcher, added to Steam as non-Steam game.
2.) GEProton7-43
3.) Run on low with medium textures and view distance. Could probably run higher, but I like it where it is.
4.) performs at 40-50 pretty stable.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night
1.) Offline installer add to Steam, no launcher was used. Runs fine on memory card.
2.) Proton 7.0-6
3.) 1280x720, low settings, 30% ResolutionQuality. Looks like crap but no slowdowns and no blurry text.
4.) 60fps

Extra info: To lower the ResolutionQuality, the GameUserSettings config file is located in "LocalAppData\BloodstainedRotN\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------

Fight'N Rage
1.) Offline installer add to Steam, no launcher was used. Runs fine on memory card.
2.) Proton 7.0-6
3.) mostly stock
4.) 60fps

Extra info: CPU limited to 4 threads/1500MHz and downclocked memory with PowerTools plugin to save battery: 7W vs 14.5W at the wall. Without Powertools can go down to 9W by setting the GPU to 300MHz and the TDP limit to 4-5W.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------

Populous the Beginning
1.) Offline installer add to Steam, no launcher was used. Runs fine on memory card.
2.) Proton 7.0-6
3.) 800x600 is the best compromise forme
4.) 30fps, the game seem to be limited to 37Fps.

Extra info: CPU limited to 4 threads/1500MHz and downclocked memory with PowerTools plugin to save battery. This particular game (as some other old games) seem to use all the available CPU cycles for no good reason and would drain the battery pretty fast otherwise.
17W without any configuration, 12W limiting the framerate to 30Fps and 6.5W with PowerTools tweaking.

4.) 60 hz / 60 FPS (stable)
Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning
1.) installed via offline installer, copied to Steam Deck, added to Steam library
2.) GE-Proton7-47
3.) Fullscreen, maximum settings
4.) 60 hz / 60 FPS (stable)

Battle Brothers
1.) Offline installer add to Steam, no launcher was used. May have issues (small freezes) on memory card if played on IronMan mode, since the game is constantly saving.
2.) Proton 7.0-6
3.) 1280x800 as the game defaults
4.) 60fps

Extra info: Best played limited to 30fps to save 10~20% battery, no need to further tweaking.
Into the Breach
1.) Offline installer add to Steam, no launcher was used.
2.) Proton 7.0-6
3.) 1280x800 I guess
4.) 60fps

Extra info: Can be set to 30fps and using PowerTools to downclock memory for ultra power saving.
The Outer Worlds
1.) Installed Galaxy through Steam, Run through Galaxy through Steam using the same prefix folder as Galaxy.
1.) Installed with Heroic Launcher, added to Steam as non-Steam game.
2.) GEProton7-43
3.) Medium settings, Low Shadows and view distance, 70% 3D resolution
4.) performs at 30 stably, 40 if you don't mind the occasional slowdown.
