Not sure if my Anti Virus is being over protective or not but it just had an absolute hissy fit over an update I just had to download. there was a 2mb download and then a 100mb download right after. The object was

My antivirus blocked this download and now I have to get a clean install

My AV has done the same in the past. I just generally ignore it and turn the AV off and redownload whatever I need. I use Norton and it either doesn't have the option to ignore and download anyway or they hide it so well that I can't see it in that very short window it gives you to react. If it's something I know and something I'm currently doing then I just ignore it. AV's can be fickle at the best of times. I also have it set to allow on it's Firewall so it won't annoy me every time I try to use it. I doubt that would help with this but it's worth a shot.

I am finding that I hate this program. It appears to be more trouble than it is worth and to be honest I am not at all comfortable with it. I dont see why we had to stop using the downloader and switch to this instead. I mean I feel like I am using another form of Steam and everything within me is screaming NOOOOOOOOOO. My AV having a hissy fit makes me feel even worse.

The worst part is, if I want to be able to play any of my games, I have no choice but to use this software.

As far as I am aware, I am using that. I still don't like the idea surrounding it. It feels too much like Steam in my opinion and it feels wrong somehow.

yeah AVG is blocking gog galaxy for me too

AVG reads Galaxy as clean. Try asking the oracle.
