Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

GOG COM logo -> exit. Two clicks instead of one, but not that hard. I've gotten use to doing it now at this point.

Sniskerbobberton: Why do I keep getting 'There was a problem with updating the application. You can always download the latest version from: https://www.gog.com/galaxy' error even though I've the latest version?

Tried reinstalling and uninstalling too.

Any help would be much appreciated :)
I'm getting the same error message. ^ I started getting that error about a month or two ago, but when I finally got around to manually updating Galaxy, I ran into an issue with the installer (release 1.2.10, I think?). Just now, I downloaded and ran the installer for the latest release (1.2.12) and was able to successfully update Galaxy. However, the aforementioned error is still coming up.
Multiplayer with Galaxy

I would like to try some multiplayer games and I have a few questions.

1. Does Galaxy support Multiplayer
2. What multiplayer game have you played on Galaxy.
3. Did you enjoy it & was there several people on it?

Thanks!

Venom: Games installed via GOG Galaxy now have shortcuts that also point to GOG Galaxy, so that you will get all the features (game time tracking, achievements, overlay, multiplayer, cloud saves etc.) when launching games via shortcut.
I haven't noticed this until now after launching Grim Dawn, as it wasn't happening with a few other games I've been playing lately.
All I know is it's annoying, one of the very reasons i don't like Steam in the first place, and should not be mandatory, especially having all extra Galaxy features disabled; the only reason for me to ever launch Galaxy is to download updates, that's it, I don't need anything else, ever.
I do realize it's possible to modify the shortcuts or create new ones that point to the game's executable bypassing Galaxy, but come on...
I think that shouldn't be Galaxy's default behaviour, but that's just me, either way there needs to be an option to disable it.
Please consider making this change.
My GOG Galaxy instance consistently crashes... I only have one game installed "Thimbleweed park". Every time I open Galaxy, I see the game's updating it's contents, and within 10 seconds the Galaxy client dies. I have crashdumps.

Where do I send them?

https://mantis.gog.com is probably a good place, or talk to support.

I was downloading Van Helsing (19 GB), Galaxy crashed when actually installing, and the crash reporter died on me. Not a good day.

edit: it recovered, and the game runs. Impressive.

After consistently receiving a disk space error when trying to install updates of any of my games (and having verified my temp and install directory drives had ample space), I reported the issue via Mantis. However, seeing as nothing has happens with said report in over a month, I today decided to attempt a reinstallation of the Galaxy Client (macOS 10.12.5).

After removing it from and reinstalling, the client now crashes after about 7 seconds, every single time.

Considering software updates are now being deployed through the client well in advance of the website (for example, the current version of Thimbleweed Park), this is extremely frustrating.

What do I do now?

Please send us the logs to mantis, otherwise we can't help - "client crashes after about 7 seconds" can be really anything.

Please provide logs folder and info on how exactly the client crash - is there any error etc.

What about keyboard shortcuts? I use a Mac so I'm used to apps not closing when when windows are closed, which is probably because the menubar is not attached to each window. That means the menubar of the app can be used to open another document or window, or to choose "Quit" from the menubar.

And the "Quit" has a keyboard shortcut of Command-Q (it shows that in the menu), so instead of closing the windows or using the menubar I just hold the Command key, type Q, then let go of the Command key. I think on Windows the keyboard shortcut is Alt-F4. And on Linux it would be… Oh, this is Galaxy we're talking about, nevermind.

The question is though, is anyone actually looking at these reports on a daily/weekly basis? No offense but you guys post a lot suggesting we report on mantis, but the reports largely just sit there... no indication they are being investigated, no indication that someone has read it, no indication that the issue will ever be fixed.

Granted sometimes someone from GOG responds, but the vast majority go ignored or get a response months later. Do you really think someone with a significant issue is waiting three to six months for GOG to fix it or even acknowledge the issue? Good luck getting feedback after all that time.

There are currently 690 open issues and it seems like GOG can not effectively manage these bug reports.

I strongly suggest someone be put in charge of managing these if nobody currently is. I also suggest closing really old reports, being a lot has changed since v1.1.x and some of these reports are probably no longer relevant.

It would be nice to get the reports down to 100 or 200 open reports. It would also be nice if someone actually started responding to the reports.

There is quite a few issues I know that need be looked at in v1.2.x, but I feel like I'm wasting my time reporting them because almost all my other reports get ignored.

Something needs to be done to increase efficiency between reporting bugs and actually getting those bugs fixed. Because right now it really bad, and Galaxy is still really buggy.

Perhaps the issue is simply... GOG needs a better bug tracking software than mantis.
