As I suspected you would bloat a perfect gamestore\launcher.

5-6 services that just run in the background eating 1% CPU even when it´s idle. Chat with forced notifications etc.
Whats next.. voicechat? Built in screenshot editor?

At least make the launcher modular and give us the option to turn off all thats not needed

They shouldn't have left the beta tag. The client is still very buggy and unresponsive at times.
And they haven't yet implemented a simple feature like browsing in multiple tabs/windows.

I haven't had any of those problems. Maybe mine is broken? :) I just click the games and play, if I'm inclined to use Galaxy instead of Launchbox...

No you cant. Services still up and running even if you "disable" the useless crap. I want to turn off all the chat functions aswell.

I totally agree, drop Galaxy completely.

To be fair, I can do that with Steam too but I'm sure people still consider that bloated, it's not mutually exclusive ^^

I thought I remember some users complaining that Galaxy will sort of "retroactively" insert itself into standalone shortcut launchers and launch them through Galaxy when you doubleclick them (even if they hadn't been installed via Galaxy).

I'm on the fence about trying it (don't know if I want to give Gwent a shot) but if I can still launch by my desktop shortcut, standalone installer without having Galaxy interfere it's a good thing to know.
