It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi

I just did a fresh install of Win 10. After installing reinstalling GoG Galaxy it now starts up when I boot Win 10, even after I uncheck the "Auto start" box.

Any ideas how I can stop this?
Possible that it's still in a Windows setting. Open up Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc is the shortcut), click on the Startup tab. Right-click GOG Galaxy, and choose Disable.

If the above doesn't help, press Windows+R, type msconfig and press Enter. Now go to the Services tab and find two GOG processes (GalaxyClientService and GalaxyCommunication). Disable both, apply the changes and restart your computer. It should help.

Do you completely close the Galaxy client before you "shut down" Windows 10?

I recall there is some new feature nowadays in Windows 10 that it tries to restart any applications that were open when you exit Windows. So if Galaxy was running when you shut down Windows 10, it will be restarted automatically.

Maybe that setting can be changed somewhere in Windows 10 options, dunno. I've seen it happen to me a few times, I think it was with the Firefox browser or Excel which I apparently forgot to close down before shutting down Windows 10.

Hi,
Could you report that via mantis2.gog.com or through "Report Issue" in the GOG Galaxy app?
Thanks!

So mantis2 is the new bug tracker!!! Time to file bugs, as Galaxy has plenty.

For a temporary solution try disabling it using Autoruns by Sysinternals (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns).
Really invaluable tool to clean up all that autostarting shit drivers and stuff tend to pollute Windows with, but be careful not to remove essential/important entries.

Thank you Zylox!
That gog popup has been annoying me for a couple of years lol; now its gone.
Thank you for the simple, concise, and logical instructions on how to be rid of it :)
