Unlikely. I'm running with uBlock as well. Maybe it helps to clear the browser cache but I'm not sure how things work in chrome.

I'm not getting this issue (just checked NMS in my library) and I'm using Chrome.

I'm not mocking you, but do you honestly think it was better when the Galaxy client was included in the default install files and in order to get the non-Galaxy files you had to go searching for them under the MORE button? Do you recall the various posts about people complaining they installed Galaxy by mistake because they inadvertently grabbed the wrong install files?

Sure, it's now a big blue annoying button, but at least the regular install files are more easily found right there underneath that big blue button. I really don't see how this is worse.

I defiantly wasn't a fan of gog galaxy installing itself with each games installation file either. I'm just not a gog galaxy/ online client fan I'm afraid.

Well, GOG is trying to push Galaxy on everyone in any way they can get away with. That's nothing new. Fortunately they were made to row back from their most pushy attempt. Bundling the installers with Galaxy was the step too far that raised an outcry. So now we have a quite OK state where the big Galaxy button is there to trap unaware customers - but those customers who care can easily download clean installers.

Of course GOG will keep searching new methods to push Galaxy. But right now in my library the clean offline installers are visible by default. But that might be thanks to barefoot or adalia. I don't know.

They are visible by default without any addons if you opened them once and didn't close.

:D Ah well, seems its just me with the bug where I need to refresh the files every time.

No biggie, just a seemingly unnecessary extra step you need to take to see all the manual installation files.

Think I will report it to staff and see if they can come up with anything.


Edit : Done, contacted GOG support with a report of the issue.

Using cheap tricks : For example ..

On your Game Library, when you look at the game where we download the Offline Manual Installation files, those files used to be all that was there, and for my preference all that I want.

Now the big button to download GOG Galaxy is the only thing on show, and the files we want are now BY DEFAULT buried under a toggle switch you have to expand to see the files.

Not only that but if you want to see all the files there (DLCs and optional files in addition to the main Manual Install files), you have to refresh the page, expand the toggle again, and now you will be able to see what were previously hidden extra files. I believe this is probably a bug with the site software (giving GOG the benefit of the doubt here), but it needs to be fixed.

Its all starting to look a bit deceitful GOG, the tyranny of the defaults leading people away from the DRM free files we bought, and seducing people to install a client which by default runs in the background and makes windows operating system less secure because it now has more vectors for attack until experts like Googles Project Zero team come along and show you what vulnerabilities you have created due to your lack of expertise in the field.

Anyone else wish the manual offline installation files were brought back to being a bit more prominent in your libraries ?
Ok, when I go to my library, through the website, I click on any game, and I see the offline download files automatically expanded and I see the extras all on the same screen. I do not have to do anything you have stated. In other words the problem you are seeing isn't what I am seeing at all.

I am using Google Chrome and I see everything with one click, don't have to do anything you have to do to see everything.
