Holy crap, I never had problems with GoG Galaxy on Windows 7 but on 10... wtf man.

My Witcher 3 download has restarted 3 times. By itself. Not once has it successfully completed an install.

This is awful. Just awful. Guess I'm manually downloading from the website -_-

Not that the GoG staff cares or anything, I'm just 1 person out of a million who the client works for but whatever.
No one forces you to use it :)
The GOG Downloader still works if you want to give it a try.

Do check your antivirus. A few of them really dislike Galaxy's installation method and lock a few files, thus resulting in failed installations.

You could download the installers through Galaxy (or the GOGDownloader, or any of the 3rd party downloaders) as well, if you're interested in resuming the download.
We need a "No Shit" thread for things like this. :P

yes
most of us are aware galaxy is broken piece of garbage and its an insult to beta software to call it beta

use the gog downloader instead
So.

I'm on Windows 10, and GOG Galaxy is running just fine.

Am I doing something wrong? Like not trying to download a game that is on sale and just had a massive expansion released for it?
Working fine here.
Have you contacted support?
I use Windows 8.1 and I can't even install Galaxy anymore. I tried to do it to redeem System Shock 2 and it just froze mid-installation. Last time I had it install, I got the infamous Chinese notification and that freaked me out enough to uninstall it immediately. I really think GOG should reevaluate the way they are developing this thing. It seems to be getting worse for a lot of people.

The Galaxy client will never be improved if any response to it is "screw it, use the downloader".

Win 10 and working fine here OP.
Had problems with crashing downloads in the past, but that was on the earlier versions.

Fairfox:
Outside of the aforementioned early version of Galaxy and once using the downloader (that was due to my extremely shite connection) never had any problems with downloads on GOG. Everything goes smooth. :3

GOG Galaxy is running fine for me. At least with the latest major update introduced, it's much much better for me than before.

Windows 10 x64.
